I believe you mean BTM: Brake Throttle Modulation.
Have the transfer case in either HL or L
Gently apply the brakes, just enough that the truck doesn't move at idle in any drive position of the shifter.
Apply the throttle enough to overcome the resistance of the brakes.
This causes stress in...
I believe that some helicopters use 24V batteries the same size as 6T, or something similar. I remember someone talking about snagging one from their flight maintenance unit after it aged out or something like that. Perfectly good still, but in a multi million dollar helicopter you don't take...
It is NOT a voltage regulator issue. Completely separate system.
Usually a smart box issue.
GPC just tells the smart box if the engine is warm enough to need glow plugs or not, but doesn't have any direct control over them.
Adjustable just means you can set the voltage output you want, not that the output is going to adjust itself.
Sounds like you need to find people with a better understanding of electronics to do the work
typically not. I have GMRS radios that I can share a couple of, and some of the other guys have various types of radios in their rigs, but with less than a dozen rigs and modern cell phones there normally isn't any real need. As long as they don't do any more detours just past Hoquiam the...
Okay, putting out the info for the New Year's Beach Run.
Date is January 1, 2025
Meetup is 8am at The Rusty Tractor in Elma, WA
departing there around 9am or so, or whenever everyone that we know is coming has shown up.
Will pull into the Ocean Shores Convention Center parking lot about...
Found a partial list elsewhere on this site a bit ago that had the M997 and M998 listed as examples that they could be marked as 03 if they were empty, and 04 if loaded to capacity, so that matches what I remembered. Only the first generation trucks listed, nothing newer.
But to change my...
To my knowledge, that is a bridge plate for letting others know your max possible gross weight, so a truck that's too heavy doesn't get told to cross an improvised bridge that may not be rated for it.
number would be in tons, so 05 would be 10k lbs, 06 would be 12k lbs. If you are towing a...
I had to rebuild one of mine for a sticking parking brake lever. I didn't have to replace the parts you mentioned, just cleaned them up and used a caliper rebuild kit for all the seals.
Yes, they are very likely standard off the shelf parts; you just need to figure out what they match in the...
I had some binding, and replacing idler arm fixed it.
I also occasionally had an issue with the turn signal auto cancel feature managing to point straight on into one of the cancelling pins and that would cause the wheel to not turn properly either. Wasn't very often but did happen when just...
You have that backwards.
If the wait light stays on because of a failure in the start box, then it can burn out the glow plugs. Engine will start easy the first time because of new glow plugs, but they will all burn up after that.
Test the glow plugs to see if they are good or not.
Test for...
Yeah.
The relays I ordered are single pole double throw, and have both the normally closed side and a normally open side. Wiring through the normally closed side should give power until the turn signal is energized.
I plan to just tap into the turn signal and T off of it to make a parallel...
Last rock chip I picked up was completely out of my field of view, way off to the side of the glass, so no interference with my vision.
It was, however, almost dead center on the dash camera lens.
Honestly it took about 10 minutes to replace.
Only real issue is 2 of the machine screws on each marker were corroded to the point I had to drill the head off to remove. Screw is #10 x 24 7/8" long and used a nylock nut on the inside. The rear are 5/8" long. Parts manual gave different...
Finally got around to replacing the dead marker light in the rear. Had the power wire broken off at the light, so no way to fix.
Other three lights worked, but were a little dim. I thought it was just the lenses.
Nope. As soon as I installed the new marker light, the other three went dead...
Manuals are too big to upload here, so here are links to the newest versions of the ECV/REV manuals that I know of.
I didn't see the 20 level manuals for ECV/REV in the TM section already. These are the 2009 revision.
-24P parts...
