spacing out front 5 ton two piece wheels for 1600's

I have a M813 and I have just put on new 1600 R20 Michelin XZL's and two combat wheels on the truck. I have done my homework and know about hemmt rims. But I want to be able to rotate my tires so the tires will wear evenly. So just two are out of the question. Plus Hemmt rims are heavier and...

M931A1 air ride suspension got it home yesterday

Hendrickson made an air ride just like this. I work on heavy trucks and I will say that this is one of the best air ride set ups! Won't 1600's will be a little tall for a tractor. The tires will rub the bottom of the trailer? I would put on 395/80/20 singles. They have a heavy load rating and...

I want a different engine and transmission for my M135?

Do what you want with it. Don't listen to the dooms day profits. I have been building custom cars, motorcycles and trucks for years. Nicely done custom always beats boring originals any day! If you hot rod it just use your head and Most of all have fun! If you lived closer I could put in...

    M35A3 Bobbing problems

I take a torch and heat the rivet till it is ready to melt and hit the oxy. It will blow a hole through to the other side and release the pressure, then use a punch to hammer them out. It is easier when they are still hot. If you like this part, wait till you have to drill the frame!

LOL..Just saw this at Army base..Deuce Kills

My truck has totaled one car and one pick up. The truck was parked both times! The car didn't see the parked truck till it was to late and hit the pole in front of my house instead. The truck came flying around the corner of a mall in the snow to find my truck parked. He pushed his front end in...

Winter storage ,keep the critters out of the cab.

going to try the peppermint oil trick. Found some mice jimmies on my seat the other day. Irish spring doesn't work. I tried it in my Chevelle. It was lunch! Cats tend to piss in trucks too. I will take mouse poop over cat piss any day! I do have a mini (bear trap style) mouse trap I am dieing to...

    M35A2, New York to Maine?

I bought my truck in ST Albens Vt. and drove it back to Boston Mass. A friend drove me up. I bought gas and food, it wasn't that much. Put some oil in the truck and aired up the tires before getting on the highway. I think it cost me about $450 total to get it home. But the trip was priceless.

    M35A2, New York to Maine?

What? Man, you should have waited then. If you can't afford to pick it up, how are you going to afford fuel and maintenance on the truck? It is going to cost $300. bucks in fuel to get it to you, not including drive to where it is.

    finally found my truck

I would like to see the truck in person. Drop me a PM and we can meet for Coffee. I am visiting my buddy in Meridan. He has two M35a2 and I have two 5 ton trucks. Would mind checking out Dave's motor pool either. Congratulations, I know that your truck is Mint!

That was Matt's truck. Sad to see a Marine truck go Navy:(. At least it is a Seabee driving her now. I worked with the Seabees in the Marines. It is amazing how blowning stuff up brings people together! See you at the next MV show. Nice truck! I will be in Meridan for New Years. Tell...

    5 ton lockout hubs

I am planning on $1000. For the complet kit.

    5 ton lockout hubs

I am still planning on making them. They won't be like the traditional Warn style hubs. That design can not handle the abuse these trucks can dish out. Also tradition hubs stick out to much. Nothing worse than smashing off a set of expensive hubs! Working on a complet kit with everything needed...

rear shocks on a 5 ton

You would be surprised how much shocks help. If you don't think so take off your front shocks. Your front end is under a load all the time! Thanks for the suspension travel lengths. I was planning on putting on shocks with 12 of travel anyways. I would like to see pictures some of these...

5 ton cold start pump info

The good thing about having a Cummins 250 is that the air intake is on the drivers side. Easy spraying of ether from the drivers seat! I am planning on putting in a pre-lube system to help with starting all year around.
