My truck had them on the back of the tool box and always wondered what they were for. Too bad I found out now after I mounted a atenna on the tool box. That and I dont think 36" mudflaps would roll up and fit in there anyway.
Agree 100%, On all the older Diesels I have ever owned, When ever I did a fuel filter change I would fill the new filter with tranny fluid and put it back on. I have to change the filters on the m818 and probally going to do the same thing.
The plates are 3/8". I have a set you can make a template of but already sold them to another member. The suqare stock hangers, the cast mounting brackets, and the mudflaps can be picked up at Fleet Pride in Curtis Bay.
Its good to see another M818 in MD.
They are very easy to get up and running! Just add some fuel, check the oil, prime the fuel system and let-er-eat! You can jump them with a slave cable off the truck but remember to turn the switch on, let prime, then crank it. When it fires off hold the switch in the crank pisition untill it...
It would be cool if anyone has a stove for a GP tent they might want to sell or just use for the weekend. I Picked up my GP small the other day and need to plan a trial run on setting it up and taking it down. Now I just want a stove to keep me warm! I have some Big 60k BTU multifuel heaters but...
I wanted to take some pics of the inside of the truck but my truck was slowing traffic and I had to run and get some re-centered HEMTT wheels for dad. It was a really cool truck and the first one I have seen in person.
Thats cool! I been thinking about getting a box trailer but dont think I can tow it with the 1600's. Might be too tall and too much strain on the drive line. I like to play it safe.
Finally got to see one of the new CUCV's in person yesterday! I would love to have the dually version more:twisted: Spotted this one just across the street from my shop at a local Red Cross.
Ok, well since I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night I think I'm ready to build a set of rims too....
People were offering the rims with the adapter already on them for $275-400 and no one made comments about that. Most of the people that got a lot of them only paid $50-60 a rim if that. So...
Well Gee-golly... that's like that time I got your m105a3 and almots missedt the fact that someone stole the saftey chains off of it! Even Mrs. Sara was pissed abut that!
Good luck with your claim! I'm glad the workers at Meade are such cool/smart people!
