My buddy and i had planned on driving up with M35A3 bodded and M105A2 in tow and the big motor home. Now he can not go, looks like i going to sleep in the trailer.
What is the milage on the truck? Is it gear oil for sure? You can leak gear oil in the boot area even with a new seal, i have seen many trucks with wore out spindle bushings allow the axle shaft to fall down and leak.
On the front there is no outter seal and what is a spindle housing? I can help but not sure about your parts list. The 4 bolts top and bottom would be the steering kunckle. Did you pull the spindle off to look inside?
I have a M35A3 with a 3116 cat and a 2000, F650 with a C7, 3126B. These engines are interchagable, you can bolt a C7 acert in a M35A3. You found all those cat motors coming up for auction.
Let me put it this way, you are not using locking hubs and the axle shafts are under continues duty? The bushing in the spindle is wore out and the axle shaft falls down and rubs on the steel frame of the axle seal. After removing the axle seal you will see where the axle shaft has been rubbing...
Not much, the long leg was cut off. It was there to help bend it. Went for the look. The same look as the front fenders. Working on the oem fiberglss hood. Look at this 3/4" + gap on the right side.
