I've cleared my schedule to go to Haspin, and I expect some of the crew from Norfolk/Virginia Beach are going too. I can head out Thursday morning and have left plenty of leeway after the weekend to get back home.
Oh, chain installation thoughts -
At the fire station, they've taken a 6"x6" post that's about four feet long and planed a 24" ramp off of one end. Roll the inner dual up the ramp onto the flat spot and (quickly!) chain up while the outer tire is off of the ground.
Well, now I'm ready for NEXT winter... I've now managed to get chains for six single 9.00 x 20 tires, and they weigh a ton. Any input/thoughts about which size of ammo can a pair would best fit in for storage? I've currently got four chains in a five gallon bucket, and I may be following...
