Problem being that you are paying 2600 for a truck of unknown condition...not necessarily decent. My cap on any truck through GL or GSA or any other auction site where we really can't test drive it first is 1700.00 give or take a few dollars. That is what I can pay and re-coupe if the truck is...
Yup that sucks.
I have been getting priced out of GL auctions lately, I think all the good stories that pop up on here and other sites are driving prices when the reality is that they auction a lot of junk and the bad auction buys rarely gets posted because of shame and embarrassment.
I...
I like pic #2. That pavilion in the picture is dedicated to my grandfather and several other men who made their entire living on the water.
My Great Uncle spent many years on the FRFD. He died a few years ago and they did a real nice funeral procession for him.
EMR: She looks small but weighs almost 9000 lbs. It was enough weight that when I pulled her up onto the ramps it squatted the rear of the trailer to the ground and lifted up on the rear of the truck. I was originally planning on grabbing the first load of stone on the way home with the...
Hey.... I still had to get up there and sweep the bed out when I was done:wink: The excavator was 150.00 well spent. I am about 20 years too young for my first joint replacement.
The only thing I don't like about this truck is I can't seem to get the blue GL markings off of the fender. I have tried several bug and tar removers and the goof off stuff. I am about ready to sand it and re-carc myself.
The wheel loader has a 6 ton bucket; he only put 3/4s of a scoop on and it was over 15000 lbs. that crushed concrete is heavy by it's self and then it is wet from going through the crusher so that adds weight too.
This loader is a small one compared to the quarry loaders we have around here...
My wife bought a motorhome last weekend so I had to extend the driveway 30 ft. These are the type of honey do's I like[thumbzup]
Thanks Ace:
He is my sidekick..... I have been told that one day he will loose interest in the things i like to do, but for the time being if it involves the "big...
More pictures from the day.
I found out that my alternator is not charging the batteries and the injector pump is dripping a little; two more things to add to the to do list.
I gave the deuce a hard workout today. first I went and rented an excavator and she couldn't even tell it was back there. Then went and got two loads of reclaimed concrete; I told the loader operator to get as close to 10000 lbs as he could and I crossed the scale at 28540lbs so he was only over...
I would jump for joy the day that GL (private company) is fired and the liquidation of this stuff taken back by DRMO or GSA (government agencies). DRMO was much better and more efficient than GL and so is GSA.
Keep in mind that if you put lockers in you greatly increased the probability that you will take it too far and stick it deep. Recovery bills are high when the wrecker can't get to the truck.
I am not even going to get back into the argument about the Cat and Allison Combo not really having...
He is performing a public service: He is maximizing the earning potential of the Federal Government:mrgreen: The method I use to bid has the effect of driving prices up, but my philosophy is get in early for the full amount that I am willing to pay. Nobody is going to win the item I want for...
The SEE is just a camo unimog/case 406. Knock the loader and backhoe off and you have a 406 diesel mog. Even if they are cannibalized you should have enough units to part out the worst and build the rest.
We just had a member a week or so ago post about and A3 that they won, it started fine, but the tranny was shot.
This stuff is obsolete; the units that have the equipment are supposed to turn it all in so it can be disposed of usually by a certain date. Often they don't have a replacement for...
