OK using my professionally calibrated bathroom scale from Wal-Mart, FMTV rims are 120# and HEMTT rims are 150# W/O bead locks.

Not 100% sure but I think the HEMTT will be about 3" farther out than the FMTV's unless you flip the rims outward then 3" imward per wheel.

I have not weighed the bolt together rims but I would bet they are heaver.

I had the same issue with it staying on and running the battery down.

I have 395's on mine. I like the look. Not sure on milage, never checked. It's not really the mot fuel effiicient.

They do make a clear lens. I picked up one a couple weeks ago. It was in a control switch panel for a water purification unit of some type. The cover is like the high beam indicator but is clear and the back side that screws in is clear. It uses a red bulb.

I have noticed that if the % of gas is too high it gets is hard to start.

I am thinking about another project. Does anyone have a cab for sale? Tatra, HEMTT or somthing that looks close. I would like a double cab to have room for the kids, but if I could find a single I could fab from there.
