I talked to Memphis, White Owl, Saturn and TNJ about the solenoid this morning...
Bob at Memphis says he thinks he has an IP with one on it but is checking to see if they will sell just that or if they want to sell the whole IP...
John at TNJ says he has several on remaned LDS crate motors...
Ha!!... It seems our fearless leader and BFR are the two responsible for the Gadget AV... All though one is completely blaming the other claiming "Im not creative enough to come up with that on my own" ... The last part I am inclined to believe!!! rofl
Truthfully I think Bjorn deserves the AV...
Yeah im kinda wondering whom stuck me with the Gadget AV... It was NOT my doing... Short list of suspects too!! lol
Bottleworks... Im gonna look into that... Sounds like a much easier plan!!!
I installed 3 10" fans in mine with a 206 degree thermal switch to a relay, I wanted the 3 because of the AC unit at idle in FL... The switch is on the bottom of the radiator close to the inlet so that its working from what is entering the engine as opposed to being on top where it will always...
The manufacture says that a magnetic pick up is fine so I should be able to install a crank sensor for RPM and a magnetic sensor on the transfer case output shaft. A wheel sensor would work also but I think would get destroyed quickly off road. I emailed their tech support to see if they have a...
RE: Re: Unimog SEE at GSA
Well private... Usually when a member here stakes a claim on a said vehicle the rest of us will bow out of the bidding process. Which with some of us is a very good thing because we tend to REALLY like green iron and would end up driving prices up amongst ourselves...
Ah... sorry its been so long... Kept forgetting the camera!!!
The weekend was slow for truck stuff I owed a debit on sandblasting work to someone and ended up doing a flame job on his moped for him... Not my choice of color, pattern or manufacture but its not to shabby looking (was canary...
Maybe all of us lumped into the same pile aint a good idea... I can see it now... Logic dictates we all brought ONE grill of biblical proportion because we have to share... whom knows... maybe we all wanna cook a whole pig to ourselves at the same time or something... 10 Trailers of firewood to...
RE: Sleeper cab on a duece?
Just hunt down a shop van box and split the inside... Make the rear a vehicle storage area for your bike or what not and have the front built as a camper.
RE: Can I run Michelin XL
According to Michelin XML and XZL are all in the same class as on / off road tires reguardless of size and are considered tubeless... Unless there is some older variation to what is current, but if the tire says tubeless... Its tubeless.
Something else I thought of while reading this thread... The backing plates in the cab are adjustable meaning when you loosen the hinge bolts you can slide the door up, down, in and out to compensate for "fit"... It would seem obvious but with the way these things rust the adjustment plates seem...
Greg the torque specs are in the TM... I would suggest downloading it and reading though the clutch change procedures as well as reading the specs for the pressure plate and flywheel grinding. Also you don't need a puller for the flywheel, it's just a very "snug" fit... Put a longer bolt in the...
LOL.... My god... I thought the inside of Kennys radiator was nasty!!!! Damn!!!! Dump a gallon of CLR in and flush that poor helpless radiator before it pukes!!!
Well not so much of a "truck" update but I am getting the wench back together... Missing a seal, I was given 4 numbers as the seals but there is a 5th located under the shift shaft if you tear the winch all of the way down. Otherwise I think it looks pretty damn good, the green and black is a...
Ah... if you guys are gonna keep kicking this thread Im gonna have to add mine to...
I've had a few point out that they want their EGT mounted "in your face" so to speak... Nice thing about this one is that it is programmable with a warring led for high and low temp so having it staring back...
