Its prolly a "pre" bug unit which are known to blow... There is a year of manufacture (2002 and earlier I THINK) that you should avoid... It is repairable / upgradeable if you are comfortable working with circuit...
$1800 fully rebuild maybe... 800/400 would be a little more common for used stuff... Give them a whirl on ebay as a set. The 4x4 nuts are always looking for them.
