I doubt the cooler its self would leak, its made out of stainless... The o-rings are silicone, be rare to go bad... Really rare... The coolant tank surrounding the cooler though would be a different story, their aluminum and have a tendency to rot from the inside out, if this be the case it...
The front has to be cut... Same ordeal on most trucks reguarless of the model.
The rears I don't know...
What are you doing with your old fronts? If they are metal housings I would love to have them to powder coat for my Deuce...
Ken can you scan and post the prints please... Its one more delay in the build but living south I think the hurricane bug out vehicle should have all of the housings done like Lax is asking about... Thanks
Some more progress.... Many many many things are going on... Doors are stripped and waiting to be cut for the power accessories, cab is almost finished for paint, all but the floor is insulated, had some cool ideas for door hinges and hood hinges (nylon bushings) Ken has installed one door on...

Shoot that truck already...
I am getting ready to do the plumbing on my Deuce's second tank and was debating the need for a vent line between the two tanks.
I am using a 24V external fuel pump which will be frame mounted and controlled by a toggle switch in the cab. One of the line taps in the top of the tank now has a...
Kinda hard to spot unless you know what your looking for... The fingers stay in place and move as they should aganst the bearing when pushing the clutch in and out... But part of or all of the pressure plate does not move and disengage. You would need to rotate the clutch and look at each side...
Maybe a little cleaner idea, I've mentioned this before some time ago...
Napa filter base PN 4759 which is a hydraulic bypass filter base for high flow applications (100psi, 40 gpm).. The thread connections are 1.5" X 16
Napa Hydraulic filter PN 1847 Which is 11.25H X 5.0OD (huge) and has a...
Proably broke a finger or two on the pressure plate. Happens when they sit for to long, the plates rust and to much force causes the fingers to let go at the base. My deuce was a victim of this but it took a little longer for it to go. Did so about 260 miles into the trip home, lucky I had Kenny...
Ken I think that cab can be salvaged if need be... Be more than happy to give you a hand with that sheet metal... But your doin the sandblasting!!! Get some Naval Jelly or something on it in the mean time though... Be a shame to see it go further south.
Well the engine is alive and kicking again... Some good and some bad things though... The electric fans, shroud, relay, thermo switch, work GREAT... Wiring is all working right, both charging systems are kicking and taking names... The power steering pump is sucking wind though... gonna try and...
I have a template for a Deuce that I made from mine... Someone wants to drop a 5 ton by and I will make one for that too... I might keep the 5 ton though LOL
Well what I thought was a good pump is not... I guess the rotor veins are to far gone and I can not build up pressure so I am hunting a pump if anyone has one available from a LDS shoot me a PM please.
Doing a lot of electrical and test fitting today durring this "huge and deadly storm" as the news calls it were having... Boring stuff but the seats set up I have to brag about a bit...
I have been worried to death that these would not work or there would be some huge snag with the seats or...
Ernie,
Its not side load its up and down or forward and back... If your gonna rest something up against it its gonna bounce. You can see the linkage in the pic below. What happens (in theory) is a load, or bouncing around to much from slop in the linkage wears out the detent spring from...
