Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

A scangauge D might also be able to read and display the bussed data, as well as deliver live consumption/mileage info.

Newbie Alert! New LMTV in DFW

well if both pumps have fluid yet neither pump loads up, i suspect the valve probably has a bad seal and is leaking from pressure side to return side… you remove the handle and there is a nut to unscrew the core to access the seals…

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

That suggestion from cat sounds a little off to me, at least based on what I typically observe… for economy, the engine is usually operated on the front side of the power curve, not the backside. For instance my truck and 4runners make pk hp at ~4800, pk tq ~3600 but highway cruise @60MPH...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

Well of course it is energy, But you can take RPM out of the equation. I only need mention RPM in the sense that there is a particular one in a given engine configuration where the engine can produce peak torque. You have a certain gear ratio and a certain amount of torque which in conjunction...

No he is not kidding. You need to block the cab if you are ever opening the hydraulic system with the cab raised. There are safety check in the cab and tire cylinders, that should block the flow if it starts to move too fast. I have tripped mine lowering the cab too fast on my adjustble...

A seized safety check would still allow the pump to build pressure, (hydraulically locked, handle doesn’t move). If you can pump with little resistance, either you are trying to pump air(reservoirs empty) or something is allowing fluid to go from supply to return. which brings us to the second...

    1083A1 doesn’t run longer than 45-60 seconds

You should still know how to hook up a primary gauge. Good houses have good foundations and baseline fuel pressure is the foundation of this process. Often overlooked, but a fairly common source of problems. Unit injectors rely upon it and can be damaged if it is not right.

    1083A1 doesn’t run longer than 45-60 seconds

Don’t have the pneumatic canceling cylinder hooked up to the brakes yet, so its a little sketch…

    1083A1 doesn’t run longer than 45-60 seconds

Three hoses off the top of the tank, supply, return, both are JIC6 fittings. The vent port is farther forward, smaller and on a hose barb fitting…

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

Torque IS what does all the work. HP is simply an expression of torque over time and represents the speed at which you can perform a particular task or the volume of work in a given timeframe. it was an expression of energy output created by james watt to sell steam engines to people who had...

    1083A1 doesn’t run longer than 45-60 seconds

There is a test port on the fuel line between the lift pump and the fuel filter mounted to the side of the engine. Connect a snubbed/dampened 0-100PSI gauge there to measure baseline fuel pressure. Should have 20-25 at idle ramping up to 60PSI by peak torque RPM. any dips in that pressure are...

Thats one reason i went manual, dead easy. Two hoses, pump, adjustable flow control(for lowering speed control), couple of fittings and done. No wiring…. Uses plain common AW-32 hydraulic oil available everywhere… Totaled it up for someone last night, just over $250 in parts from...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

Peak tq RPM is also know as peak volumetric efficiency. It is the point where you develop max tq output for the fuel consumed. It is determined by bore, stroke, manifold design and valve timing and design. now if you can still make enough tq to accomplish the task at a lower RPM, you may see...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

I think the 3126 and C7 both fall in around 1200-1250 RPM PK TQ. From what I can tell the 3116 is a little higher at ~1550...

My what a long truck you have...:) Eco hubs will fix the fan cycling every 5 minutes on the highway. Driving a truck above peak torque RPM is like driving with an exhaust brake on. you burn a ton of extra fuel overcoming pumping losses at high RPM that does nothing extra to propel the truck...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

3.90 is closer to the ideal, but the 3126/C7 have lower pk torque RPM So either works OK. the difference between the two is only ~5%. You will of course have 5% less final pull force/thrust with the 3.7…

    M1078 no crank blows fuse

Well never was much of a gambler:) Ok, if K11 and K26 removed did not stop 77 from tripping, there are only a few other places that power goes, and all of them are in the drivers dash. The alarm buzzer in the dash, which is controlled by grounds provided by the low air switches or the...
