Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

Brass is "relatively" easier to remove than going back with steel or stainless if there is another problem down the road. A little heat, some penetrating oil, and a left hand twist extractor should make it a painless operation.... Teflon tape or preferably the liquid /paste sealer not only does...

How does the brake warning light work? (and many other brake problems)

A master cylinder can leak internally and leak out of the rear. Check all hard lines especially if exposed to salt or deicing fluid plus rubber lines and wheel cylinders. Parking brake has its own warning light circuit when engaged. the low fluid warning circuit has a sensor on the...

    HMMWV Alternator problem

That answers the question with the regulator it is probably 200. Some older models had 100 but that is not as common as the 200. New HMMWV owner, didn't know the ways of jump starting....now have issues

Did you jump start it or slave it using the port? My swag is the batteries we're too low and should have been charged first. An arrant spark or surge fried the box most likely and let out the magic smoke.

2003 M1078 A1/ Tell me about the push button Light Switch Please

Narton makes a new model of the pushbutton that has a deeper face and fits the hmmwv dash better. I have that on my hmmwv with no issues. Also have the other style on my m923. Both require a supplemental ground wire.
