I've noticed the elimination of one of the spaces in a double space after a sentence myself.
And earlier today I had the paragraph spacing removed making the post one block.
Using Fire Fox 26.
Previewing OK now.
If you previewed it and are pretty sure of it's condition, I would drive it 40 miles if the lot will let you drive it off. You can ask them before you go to pick it up. Do a pre-trip inspection before you hit the road. For insurance, make SURE your insurance company knows what the truck is...
If you decide to use 5 ton front springs on a single rear axle, look at the unloaded vs. loaded weight on the original data plate (or look in the -10 TM). Most of the military trucks I have seen, the front axle weight doesn't change much with a load. I would use the loaded axle weight number...

Even on the best day the MPG will suck. I look at it as the cost of doing business. With that in mind, I'm already stocking up on discounted gas cards when Publix has them $10 off. I saved $80 last year using them going to the GA Rally. [thumbzup]
If you have a set of REAL (large AWG wire) jumper cables that are long enough to reach from your chase car to the battery box in the truck (or take the batteries out), you can charge each battery in the truck one at a time, with your chase vehicle for an hour (one hour for each battery), then...
3/4" impact works fine on a Deuces air. When I changed tires, I pulled hand throttle out to about 1500 RPM while running the impact and I had plenty of air. Use 3/8" air hose from the emergency glad hand on the rear.
That's a picture of a truck I bought from GL in Puerto Rico on it's way to Fl. I was concerned about shipping, but the shipping agent said he had "several" people that would escort the truck and security would not be a problem.
Unfortunately, that picture was taken by the US Navy right before...
I put a Walker Big Truck muffler on my Deuce W/D turbo. It made it quiet enough to drive around town without ear plugs. Over about 45 MPH the rest of the drive-train is singing and howling so you still need hearing protection on the highway.
The o-rings will work. O-rings that have been install for a long time take the shape of the space they are compressed into. Some will come out triangular, flat, square, etc. They all started out round.
Just disassemble the fan drive clutch actuator and clean it. You can remove the cap from the end of the actuator housing without removing the housing from the engine. Use some some lithium grease on the piston when you reassemble. I think there are o-rings but I can't remember for sure from...
That's what everyone does when the heater core starts leaking. Well, remove one hose and plug the other hose into that fitting. You can usually get the 5/8" hose over the 3/4" nipple.
I use ZEP rust and lime remover from Home Depot. It will remove the rust. I keep a 5 gallon bucket with ZEP solution in it to clean small parts. I let them sit a day and then pull them out and hit them with a brass brush while I rinse with water. If all the rust isn't off, I throw it back in...
Who, the guy that sold that rusty piece of er... I mean wrecker kit, or Kenny?
Kenny, if you run out of ideas, leave it up here with RAZER for a couple of years, it will be a work of art when he's done! [thumbzup]
The wheel cylinders on my M35A2 were too badly pitted to rebuild.
If it isn't nice and shiny after you hone it, I hone it some more. If it takes more than a half hour, it's junk. Seriously, honing shouldn't take more than a few passes to clean it up. If it's doesn't clean it pretty fast...
Right you are. My M35A2 had Dot5 and all the wheel cylinders were pitted beyond repair. I replaced the wheel cylinders with new ones, pressure flushed the system and used Dot3. Since the bleeder is at the top of the wheel cylinder, the water settles to the bottom with Dot5. Flushing will not...
