I don't doubt that one bit.
When I first saw this truck before Ray bought it, I thought "what a piece of (insert four letter descriptive word here)". But Ray had the talent and put the effort into making it something anyone would be proud to own.
Way to go Ray!!! [thumbzup]
It's year round public use and that means anyone. You don't have to be a hunter or have a hunting license to go in the woods. As long as you aren't carrying a firearm or bow in this case, it's hard for them to say you are hunting and give you a ticket for no license.
The hunters that are...
Try shifting the transfer case while moving. Put the transmission in neutral first. If you can't shift it to neutral while it's rolling, you have a problem.
I can shift the transfer case in the M929 while moving, but the transmission has to be in neutral. I've had to put the transmission...
If there is no extra wire (electrical load) on the B+ lead I would say the battery is bad. Try un-hooking one of the terminals while it is sitting and check the voltage after a few days. If it's low, the battery is bad. A fully charged battery should be ~12.6v.
If there is an extra wire...

All engineered products, whether it is a diesel engine or a suspension bridge, are designed with a set of goals. The bottom line is cost. Anyone can build a bridge. The idea is to build a bridge that will just barely not fall down or in this case, an engine that will meet power and longevity...
I also have the Peltor Powercoms and have worn aviation headsets for many hours while flying. Headsets get uncomfortable after awhile so if I'm not talking to someone it's the foam ear plugs for me.
I looked at auctions of the same model truck for serial numbers that were close to mine and used the year listed for the auction truck. Sometimes Carnac can come up with the year in his VIN thread if you post there.
If the auction listing says it's 1991, it is probably right. Unless you have...
I think it's on the frame behind the driver's side front tire. I can go look later, but I'm sure someone will chime in.
I had to get the VIN off the frame of my M818.
Make sure the flap is not so long as to get caught and ripped off if you have to back over a curb. In FL they have an angle they measure from the bottom of the flap to the tire/road contact point. The closer the mud flap is to the tire, the longer it needs to be. Tractors are typically short...
I doubt it, the compression goes past the rings easily at breaker bar cranking speed. You can only move the bar a small amount each time; if you come to a hard stop, you'll know it.
