Acquired a Military surplus load bank

Howdy, I ran the MEP-803A today on the load bank. The video is huge. Its 536mb, and about 4 and a half minutes long. I warm the 803 up. I then start stepping through loads. 3kw, then 6kw, then 9 kw, then 12kw, then 12kw+3kw, then I start adding the variable load a little more than half way...

Acquired a Military surplus load bank

howdy, I am thinking about taking the lifting rings off. They just sit there and rattle like bells. I saw where someone said to shoot a bunch of silicone there, but I think that would only last a short time. I have forks, so I do not need them. It really is amazing how smooth the 803 is...

Acquired a Military surplus load bank

Howdy, I guess I only recorded and short video of the MEP-802A being loaded. At the moment it looks to be around 133% load, and then I lowered it a little to 125%. By looking at the video, I would say the load is around 7.5-8kw 3 phase.

Acquired a Military surplus load bank

Howdy, I wasn't watching too closely while loading the MEP-802A. I loaded it up to 133% for 15 minutes, then 100% for 30 minutes, then 25% and then off, but, the MEP-803A was a different story. I had the 12kw switch on, and the 3kw switch on, and turned the variable knob up maybe halfway to...

Acquired a Military surplus load bank

Howdy, Essex Electro Engineers A427 Load Bank It was made around 1970. 0-33kw coverage, single and 3 phase. 3kw, 6kw, 9kw, 12kw switches in any combo, and a 0-3kw variable turn knob. It really makes thing easier to keep a generator in shape. The MEP-803A can really pull some power. It...

M1102 Rivet question / Bracket Relocation problem

Howdy, Is it a m1102 trailer plain, or is it a m1102 generator unit? I have the m1102 with generator and the rear support leg uses a Huck Magna Lok fastener MGLP-B12-12, which is a 3/8 hole. I am myself looking for a place which will have the tool to do this big rivet. It uses 3 of these rivets...

    24v charging thru slave port

Howdy, What's neat about this method is... I have a smart battery charger which I can use for other batteries. 12v lead acid, 12v agm, 24v lead acid, and 24v agm. I have used the Genius G7200 and a battery minder to bring back 2 Optima redtop agm individually. I then put them both back into the...

    New to me MEP-802A running

Howdy, I just fired up a new acquisition MEP-802A. After going through it all and charging the batteries, it runs. :D It ran for a little while and then shut down. I got a "no fuel" light. I fired it back up and got it again. But, now I want it to run longer. I checked everything out...

    MEP802 - Got a shaker.

Howdy, I guess the side nick name for a 2 cylinder motor would be "Shaker" I just fired up my new acquisition MEP-802A and its not the outside that shakes, but open the door, and watch the motor shake. The MEP-803A being 4 cylinders is so much smoother.

    24v charging thru slave port

Howdy, I did not come up with this method, but I have used it, and it's working good. The slave port is a direct connection to the batteries. For a jump start you will need some decent gauge wires. But, for charging, its not a large requirement. I went with a NOCO Genius G7200 24v charger...
