    Manual CTIS, electric over pneumatic.

Thanks, I thought I'd seen a re-do of it somewhere. My controller would appear to be bricked and I'm not going to spend $$$$ going back to the OEM just to have it ever happen again. I need to do either a manual or an Arduino and I'm leaning manual if I can sort out what I need to get how to...

    Manual CTIS, electric over pneumatic.

Didn't you make an upgrade to this (v2.0 )? I've searched and come up with nada.

    LMTV CTIS Question

First guess would be a bad controller. The valves, etc are all used in the various modes. If only one mode is out and the others function, I'd say the controller is fubar. You have options: 1) Replace with used (keep in mind these things all fail at a certain point like the one you have and...

    Third's Build Discussion

Just $5 drawer sides from Lowes and pop latches. For the kitchen pull-out workspace and the keyboard/mouse tray I may change to the latching type so they don't slide open in transit. But a simple drop-in retainer pin may work for a lot cheaper. For now they also just have the $5 Lowes sliders.

    57K2703 Vehicular Seat Kit

Good point. People are always missing those on their trucks. Alternatively, the solid rubber shock cord and hooks can be purchased on Amazon for pennies a foot. And the "H" retainers can be made by welding two pieces of c-channel together. Just sayin'

    57K2703 Vehicular Seat Kit

Ah, I never realized that. Toss them on eBay? Or you if you're on FB you can join some of those groups https://www.facebook.com/groups/1607576859556624 https://www.facebook.com/groups/1614498551974258 https://www.facebook.com/groups/1720107841549830...

    57K2703 Vehicular Seat Kit

People look for them from time-to-time. Mostly because the uprights are missing from a truck they purchased or a seat is missing/broken. It will be someone with a 6x6 FMTV bed. So sure, toss them up on classifieds here, eBay, and post the links here. Folks will share them with the Facebook...

    57K2703 Vehicular Seat Kit

The NSN comes back as the seat kit for the M1157 dump truck. So they'd be for the 6x6 MTV trucks I bet. https://nationalstocknumber.info/national-stock-number/2540-01-573-4725

    Catastrophic tire failure?

Donate them to one of those extreme workout places. Some meathead will get hours of fun flipping it over and over.... :)

    Third's Build Discussion

Another things I take with me is this. It was a gift about 10 years ago and I figured I'd never really use it. But it can make coffee, it can make iced coffee, it can make smoothies, it can make Margaritas. etc. It's two appliances in one (blender and coffee maker) and it's really small. It...

    Third's Build Discussion

One little quirk with mine. It always beeps "Food Burn" two minutes before the cooking is done. No matter what mode, temp, or cooking duration. It's more of a "two minute warning" in my case. I don't know if it's glitched or what, but it's never affected anything. It did it the first time...

    Third's Build Discussion

Admittedly, I've not unboxed mine. But the 20qt Omni "toaster" version I got for the truck is really the same exact thing as the 10qt Vortex (just no rotisserie). It has all the same capabilities. The little Vortex uses 1500w, the Omni uses 1800w.

Yep, but look over some batter recipes. I've yet to find anything frozen that didn't fry up just like in a real fryer. My rule of thumb is that if it can be cooked in an oven, it can be air fried. Frozen onion rings, frozen fried jalapenos, frozen fries, frozen fried pickles or green beans...

This is the one I use at the house. I cook everything that needs to go in an oven or a fryer in this thing (except pizzas). It's gone with me to the beach many times. https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Vortex-Plus-Rotisserie-10/dp/B07VM28XTR/ref=sr_1_4?th=1 The one I got for the truck has a...

    Third's Build Discussion

Everyone with experience says that. Honestly, I have more storage already than I actually use in my house. I'm still trying to imagine what I'm going to put in four chester drawers (I don't even use two at home). Hanging closet consist of a couple jackets and a dozen t-shirts. A place for...

    Catastrophic tire failure?

Sell them on FB. "100% tread" Just ignore any questions about date codes. That's what most people do. ;p Yeah, I send those to the dump before they kill someone...

    Third's Build Discussion

Being an old IT guy, I can't use a desk that doesn't have a keyboard/mouse shelf. While the only PC that will be in the truck is a laptop, I still use a full-sized kb/m. Eventually I'll be doing some drone photography (and kite aerial photography) as well as video editing and a comfy...

    M1089 Mirror Upgrade

The kicker is legally replacing all is only currently allowed by the use of the one product (MirrorEye). As GEO said, you could get away with a small mirror and still be in accordance with most states. Beyond that, the camera thing has been done a lot (a couple builds here on SS have set them...

    Third's Build Discussion

Thanks. I looked at various ways of doing it (tilt up the bed to expose storage, drawers, etc). I stowed a lot of gear in army footlockers while I was testing various floorplans and layouts. They worked really well, so I went with this. I designed this so that three can fit under the bed...

    M1089 Mirror Upgrade

" The exemption applies exclusively to the Orlaco MirrorEye system, making it the only camera-monitoring system in the aftermarket " is the key phrase here. They are getting rich I bet, being the sole product maker. I know I can't afford them...
