    Light switch issues

Good luck with that. You may have to disassemble the box and repair the headlight fuse. There is a thread in the CUCV Helpful Threads sticky that discusses the headlight circuit and why it overheats and melts the fusebox. read this thread. It may help until you can get the box repaired...

    Deuce fuse box location?

The Deuce is a total different animal than the CUCVs and it does not have a fuse box. The only protection is a self resetting circuit breaker in the three-lever light switch and possibly a circuit breaker for the heater if you have one. The only true fuse is on top of the fuel pump.

    Light switch issues

In post number 4. You reach up under the dash, push the button (it is spring loaded) and then pull out on the knob. The knob and the shaft come out as one unit. Then you unscrew the big round "nut" on the front of the switch, remove the unit from behind and unplug the wires. Reverse to install.

    Light switch issues

Are you talking about the normal headlight switch or the Blackout switch? The regular switch is available at any parts house. The blackout is a used part only. I would remove the radio wire from the headlights. And I would suspect that the wire he tapped into is the issue. More than likely he...

The TM 9-2320-289-34P parts manual list then as turn buttons.. Part number 12255564-2. Goggling the part number doesn't reveal much. However goggling "canvas turn button" shows many options https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=canvas+turn+button

    6.2L J code initial inspection

I have purchased engines that have looked brand new and had zero compression and others that looked rough and ran great. One area to look at is the oil pan. Look for holes or outward dents. That says a connecting rod has went on a journey by itself. Something else to do is spin the engine over...

Shout from new member in Destin Fl

Welcome from Oklahoma. Good looking truck. Have you downloaded the free technical manuals? One of the first things to learn about your truck is to NOT turn the fuel selector knob on the side of the drivers seat. If you do you may create an air leak in the fuel system.
