The exhaust manifold and transmission are the two major problems.......currently. Everything else NOS is 'readily' available or after-market solutions can fix problems. Transmission and engine NOS seal kits are available. Fuel...
You guys are "Plane Nuts" too. I also thought this would be a drinking thread. Here's a couple of 2013 airshow links so the buzz can be scheduled.

Need a good set of eyes to read some of these but they're very creative and will give a guy a belly jiggle, thanks again for the link.
Haven't found a winch one yet but here's one on deep water fording...
You made quick work of that! Cut-off saw vs Plasma cutter is a fair battle. One day, we will have a cut-off competition.
I figured the box would sit high but it really looks good, nice work...you don't need help.
I see you're thinking about troop seats. If you put together a "parts wish list"...
Typically, you can post a parts wanted add in classifieds. There's a little description of how you do that in the rules forum in this link.

You and I would be the only two Canucks driving un-cut 1010's......that I know of.
The position becomes clear when you hang out with 'most' of these guys or the MVPA team for a few years. The passion to "preserve" as many original trucks as possible leaks from their veins and takes over other...
While looking for information on winch safety for my old deuce I was disheartened to see so many good people taken down trying to recover a stuck vehicle.
With those guys in my thoughts I'd like to get as much "Recovery Safety" information all in one place for those who will be anywhere around...
I saw a picture in one of the manuals.....why is it often in the last manual?
9-8024....page 478. Looks like 3 sections of channel wide enough for the tire and hinged for a freeway off-ramp.
TM 9-8024 page 169 is the Transmission and Controls.... a) Diagnosis Guide
The three items listed when a transmission has your symptoms are:
Improper Manual linkage adjustment, Reduction Unit Control Lever and Reduction Unit and Reduction Unit Control Valves.
Have you had a chance to diagnose...
My 1010 was changed to 12v when I got it and we just discussed adding the 24V alternator back in and separating the two systems. The back gets hot when.....well never mind....lets just say that the back gets hot and A/C would be nice. Don't think we'll use the heater because I'm sure the truck...
Tim Hortons..... It takes coffee and donuts.
I climbed into bed with my local registries office. Had to register a 'home made' trailer. Took coffee and donuts to registries, they assigned it a serial number and handed me my registration. Funny how sugar and coffee makes some folks think...
Hind-sight is great........ We mounted low, which is a problem, and will be using your thread when I do the next one. We also dropped the receiver to the bottom of the frame because it interfered with the spare tire and our trailer hitches all run around 21" tongue height. I've dug more dirt...
Gigity,
We would really like to see pictures of that truck which obviously does not need a build thread.

If 10w30 is thinner than straight non-detergent 30 weight, I'm thinkin' old Goose's 302 would spit it out the rear seal sooner, I could be wrong. The wizard says higher oil consumption will occur...
I'm searching to see if anyone followed Clinto's instructions? Post #4 http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?103349-Search-Tutorial
