Oh memories, you got it....T handle, black button on the side. This one had a 454 in it and hauled ass...as well as a 1000g water tank.
Good call oldfart.
Clean, wow.
Old Fart just reminded me of an 86' chev C-60 in the fleet. It's got an Alison 4 speed auto and a similar...but different..... tower so If we need to check linkage, it's here.
Can you modify and use this hose reel? Pops carved it out of a dolly to run 1 1/2" fire hose on the...
The Shaft
Tough job.
Here's a few photos. Looks like the mounting bracket has a 2" flange against the frame
and approx. 5.5" of surface area for the bearing.
Not sure if you're looking for the PTO cable mount location but it's right there.....there,
no over there.
Let me know what else...
Hilarious thingy oil pressure hookup
I searched for hours to find a place to hook up an 'aftermarket' oil pressure gauge and that 'thingy' near the rad/ tank showed up in this thread.

Now if I search...
That face, no offense but I've been 'searching' CUCV 'electrical', gauges, trani lines, oil lines, that face is everywhere. Comforting yet creepy:)
I have a nice Elvis album for sale......is this the right thread?
.....and my truck won't start,

Gunfreaks weather thread
Shorts in Yuma.....
Edmonton Temps in December were on average 16 degrees above normal. This winter season is nice but very unusual......
Here's a blurb from the Edmonton Journal
Edmonton’s balmy winter weather defies trends
"""""And, as anyone who has gone...
We'll celebrate when it's in your back yard....Gotta border to cross with 'green truck parts'.

"Parts of an army truck, a tank, twelve cylinders and a master" aua
Roof, airtank, MC, cylinders
I'm not sure how you did it Gunfreak. Last week it was -30c and this week it's 32F
which is plenty warm for working outdoors without clothes.
Somehow the time became available and there's a roof, airtank, a marginal master c
and 12 sad looking wheel cylinders...
Do Not Overfill
Ya sorry, NOT chain Yankin but tryin to have some fun with it....the paint must have scrubbed off and a few guesses were ventured....but none as logical as that.
Thanks for the 'logic'. . . she's missing some lettering like the words Not and Fill.
You're the best capt.
Do Over
Thanks Danger, I guess it will remain a mystery. I can't imagine why the motor-pool would paint 'do over' on anything. I was told the truck was used for training.
I thought it was funny but maybe it's the only M1010 that needs a do over......over.
"Do Over"
It's all kind of an adventure so this is surely the right place to ask an important question. I did a search first.
After neglecting the M1010 for months or years I finally got a chance to pay some attention to the 'to do' list. I always wanted to add gauges so I started pushing wire...
Best Route to Dawson City
After a call from the MVPA today I'm bumpin' the thread to turn the excitement up.
I did the trip from Vancouver to Dawson last year and North of Prince George the highway was damaged due to flooding. The trip was windy with few pull outs and anyone planning that...
M135 Tailgate, seats and bows
Just missing tires and a nice canvas cover....eh SuperDave.
The truck looks great even without the canvas but something about that ' I'm ready for camping look' will need to be addressed.
The only remaining body panel is a tailgate. Rust ate holes in the bottom...
Hey neighbour, It's warm enough over there for AC? Nice
I haven't 'serviced' mine yet because of the lazy compressor and the Freon / R12 refrigerant , re-charging issue. My 'system' needed to be charged and the compressor re-built so I removed the drive belt and haven't looked back....until...
Xm211
It doesn't seem to matter what configuration those trucks get photographed in. Roof off, Window flipped down/ up, box/ no box....they still look great.
Thanks for the pic and do post more,
1951 m135
Wow Stan, to be included with that group I'm going to need to study. Thanks.
Stone....I'm on the bottom edge of the learning curve with the 135 but have gone through the "catastrophic" potential failure points of the truck and have an idea what you might be up against.
If you plan...
