Track man
Varyag....not to step on the OP thread but I'm sure he'd ask the same thing......
Best experience?
Worst Experience?
Best gear you've been in?
Worst gear?
favorite to maintain?
Best ride?
If you could have a scaled down 'modern replica' of any track you know...what would it be...
I want a tank
I thought everyone wanted a tank. There's a couple of nutballs I drink tea with that have explored some options to the tank idea. After seeing Ripsaw, the idea of a tracked machine with a big block Chevy seemed plausible. A scaled replica is the latest brainstorm on the table. One...
Ruff on Rain ooot
Awwwwww.......You say the nicest things. Thanks T,
I'd take a 3 day drive to hang out with your family anytime. Gained 5 pounds eating
with ya but you guys sure know how to make a man feel at home...burp.
I really can't believe you got it stripped and on already...
Canadian brackets
Hmmmm, Thanks Dave. That is just ugly. As much as I'd like to have all the right micro detail done, that Canadian addition is not going to happen.
I can never get enough G749 pics though Dave.........Stan.......You guys are awesome.
You're tho thilly Thtan....you only wish......
No butt theriouthly, even ThuperDaves truck has the holes filled and the Tm shows the tailgate but the canvas covers it...sort of.
I was going to toss it but then like I said, I saw the holes in your gate.......
The trucks are so hot looking...
Tailgate babysitting required
Thank you for the heads up on the plate Stan.
Still trying to solve the 'mystery piece' in the first picture. It was bolted on to the middle panel of the gate when I got it.
Making no assumptions......I assumed it was an add on broken, license bracket. Then I saw...
M4
That is beautiful,
Hope it's ok to post this link. There's a few m4 vids online. Not sure if it's the right one but similar.
""A newly restored Allis Chalmers M4 High Speed Tractor on it's first run in about 50 years.""
Plate, gate and two holes
Big1096, this plate's for you. The first pic is a Canadian license plate handed to me by a farmer as a gift to my Dad. It just happens to read 01096. I had to post it because it's just ironic that the only mil plate I've ever had has Bigs Number. Always wondered if...
Gauges
There's a good pic in the TM's of the engine block and 'available' ports. We kept it simple and changed the water temp sending unit to attach an electrical temp gauge. It's a green wire, drivers side front of block next to the green wired glo plug.
The alternative I understand is...
The search
I checked for schematics by googling
"how to wire a 3 way switch 12 volt" I added CUCV but that didn't help. It's a tough search.
Then I hit images on the left side which led me to DPDT then SPDT switches
then back to a 3 way then grabbed a beer
and found a couple cool sites with...
3 way
I'd help you out, but there is no way I'm going to "Mount Vernon".
The M1010 has a three way in it. A toggle at the back door and one under the ac which can be reached from the cab.
I'll check TM's for 1010 schematic but it's time to google "3 way" switch.
Loaded again
Good progress Gunfreak, I must get under my auto 3ton for linkage pictures this weekend so slow down. I also need to hurry and catch up to you......because I am the leader.
I'm loaded again. This time I know I'm not leaving until next week and of course it's
going to -19c...
Tug
My EX loved that tug. She couldn't decide if she was coming or going either.
Oh, she's back. My girlfriend loves that tug.
Here's a couple of Pima tug shots to tie the dream all together. Looks like lots of work.
Picture of the week
The first Pic is a mini jeep, made in the USA, being driven by one of the finest MV
restore specialists around. If he was a girl, it would have been picture of the week.
Tempus Fugit
Instead of taking a two year welding program I had some great help offered by my son
and...
Thanks Henderson 'D', usually a camera flash shows imperfections in any paint and that still looks amazing.
Red seems to be the hardest, heaviest paint to lay down, you done good. Oh I must say it, It's just a sexy piece of metal.
We have a hard top to straighten for Gunfreak, hopefully...
Mounting bracket
It's nice when a plan comes together.
Do you have a part number for your replacement?
If it's different then the following it opens up some options.
nsk uc207-104d1
Here's a link I found when I googled the #.

M211 Pictures
That is so impressive I must beg for more pics of the hood. From the one shot it looks perfect, still has that sweet curve. All of the hoods i've seen had damage.
Beautiful work, please share more photos.
Is Canada near Dallas?
No wait, it's just your hockey team that's in our face all the time. You guys have great sports teams and if the ranchers had any sense they'd all have G749's.
Can you run an add on Craigs or similar with a pic of the truck and parts request. There's gotta be toys...
