Have you opened the bleeder on the back side of the IP when you prime it?

The power steering pump bracket is known to break (or loose a bolt) and cause misalignment. Lay under the truck and look at the very bottom of the pump/bracket to check this.

Dryers are something you service, not replace.

Is your shutterstat leaking air into the coolant?

Are your belts tight, grounds clean and tight, an battery connections all clean and tight? Have you load tested your batteries?

From the -20P, 14070352 is the rear drum part number.

The GM part number should be listed in the -20 or -34 parts tm.

Maybe your tire hit the bed and caused the failure. If so, a stronger axle will only move the issue to the next week point(bed or tire).

What kind of generator are you looking at?

Running a generator while driving is going to be an issue. They are speed sensitive(must run at a stead speed).

It's a 20 year old truck, no matter what the mileage reads. You can't expect it to be road worthy. They need monthly maintenance to be kept ready to use. Jumping a truck with dead batteries is a good way to fry the alternator.
