I believe you have a plugged fuel filter due to "waxing".
Sorry, I misread. I thought you said the nut portion broke.
If it threaded out, then nothing should be holding the pin and spring in.
It must be corroded.
The a2 pulley nsn is 3020012713832.
It was in the parts tm, listed for the a2.

The threaded portion is simply "headless" now that the hex head broke off.
You will need to destroy what is left, to get an easyout in the hole or drill it out(after getting the pin and spring out).
The whole assembly should have unscrewed out.
I mention quite often that things are easily found in the TMs.
Most of the tme these comments are not well accepted or appreciated.

I bought my kits at napa.
The shoes are readily available new on ebay.
M715 shoes are not the same, but can be modified to work.
For the cost, I regret I did not just replace them(based on the work and performance achieved). Please heed my advice.
The oil that came out of the drum, was more likely BFS.
Mine was like that too.
I tried cleaning the shoes, and also used a torch to boil the fluid off the shoes.
Learn from my experience and buy new shoes and install them instead.
