If you are referring to the long spring, I believe the lever/arm has a cotter pin in the hole and in the cotterpin's hole the hook goes into that(not the arm hole).
This can be confirmed with a look at the parts TM.
I'm pretty sure I used Dello 100, formulated for the 2 stroke diesels.

I'm also wondering why it is so important to know and why not just wait and read the label on the valve cover.
Wherever you read that, you should ask for the torque too.
