I'll snap some. Again, pretty worthless though unless you have a 5-ton Freightliner and this kit with these wires and brackets. There are drawing of the truck doors that seem to have zero baring on the installation (unless you are looking to make a Freightliner door). LOL
The print is...
There are some wiring and mounting schematics that came with the kit but they are specific to the 5-ton Freightliner install. Not really of much use but I can take a pic if you need them. But seriously nothing of value...
The old kits that GP sold were:
Freightliner of Savannah A22-53833-000 Equalizer MWO Kit
The Bussman unit is the same one they used in School Buses:
21100E00 Battery Equalizer
The data sheet...
Yeah, I got one off GP when they first showed up. They were NOS and a super good deal at $100 and came with a TON of wiring, a 24v regulator, and a massive disconnect switch.
It's just been sitting on my "to do" bench for the past several months. I just haven't figured out where to mount it...
I almost went and got a free hot tub someone had removed from their backyard.
It was one of those above ground jobs that I could just use my crane and set in the M1082 trailer.
I think I will look into one come next winter for the beach.
People get tired of them or upgrade and they are...
I think at the end of the day you simply have to rely on the math, else much of this is based on perception and differs greatly in various scenarios/environments.
I do find it an interesting topic and I've gone back-and-forth on whether or not to re-gear my M1079A1R. I've no background with...
I like the fact that the A1Rs had added a 12v gauge. These trucks (like ambulances, etc) are notorious for vampiric draws and on both my trucks they were 12v. It's handy to know your charge states of both systems (because either can prevent the truck from starting). So I would add a 12v if I...
I wouldn't say it's a dumb idea at all. In fact I'd say additional switches a gauges a highly valuable. Look at a civilian semi dash compared to the scant amount of switches and information displayed on one of our trucks.
You have to remember that some models of trucks don't lend themselves to...
I'm on my second LMTV with the Goodyears. On both trucks I did the 75 psi mod and tire wear slowed noticeably. On the M1078 it was more profound on the front, but on my M1079 they are all wearing evenly after 5000 miles.
ymmv
You can calculate just how wide a seat will fit with a tape (I forget the number). The specs for most seats can be found with some digging.
Height really depends on your leg length. The OEM seats are pretty low profile to allow for short drivers and you will notice that the highest point of...
Same here.
It seems that the same two-piece mounts are used on all models (3116, 3126, C7). I wish I had taken them off my old truck and had them copied into CAD (let's just say these $80 mounts would be selling for $80 and not $800 if I did).
Now if you are willing to re-route your...
