Been there, done that...with a Toyota Land-cruiser and a Citroen BX (can't find the pics right now, added a pic of a BX). Somewhere in 1998 I think, the Czech Republic had it's first catastrophic flooding in decades. With our Foundation, we send over two cars to help with carrying drinking water...
If that is true, it would save a lot of problems. I can rig something up on the normal right mirror frame, but not having to do it in a hurry would be nice, thanks.
Called a side-way (pr walk-way) mirror to protect you for walking or biking people next to your truck (and them from you). Legal requirement. For me, it's a PITA because, as you can see from Duncan's truck, you connect them to the upper door frame.
So I bought one thinking it would be a piece...
:drool: I envy you, can't wait to go to such meetings as well.:drool:
More important, can't wait till our truck is at the level that I dare jump into it and drive 400 mile on a German highway without beeing too scared about things going wrong (any Murphy happening there, and the...
Which one do you mean, the one "shot" from the back, between the Ural and the real tank? Maybe answer in the thread on those tanks, so trackies will see the comment also.
For those interested, the Ural from the first pics is a diesel version, which is much rarer than the gas version. The guy said the difference in price would be about $2K, the one you are seeing would come to about $ 6K without papers (don't ask, its not for sale)
Duncan, I stand corrected. When walking there, I saw something on the front that looked like Tatra. Did not pay too much attention to it.
I now looked at the originals of the pictures I posted here again, and you are absolutely correct. This first two pictures are the truck I saw, the third...
Sometimes, people have very intriguing avatars or interesting vehicles in the avatar, but you just can't make out that little detail you would like to see. Is there a way to see an avatar in bigger size?
Or maybe have a clickable avatar in our public profile that gives it full size like a...
Those are the problems I really hate. Not the actual problem but not being 100% sure what it was, knowing that it was a problem that can lay low and then suddenly jump up in a few secs, ruining your engine - and your day - pretty darn quick. Logic says cracked head, but it would give me a...
Count me in
What about a submarine recovery vehicle . Almost certainly it's on the bottom of the ocean. Otherwise, a metal-finding satellite scan of the place would be nice so we know where to start looking.
Runk, I saw your links of that Antarctic snow cruiser site. They went out on the ice with SLICKS? Big town science types never been on a farm or what? Even then they knew that good profiles are needed for good traction.
Dr. Poulter had been out on the ice but then again, they mainly had to...
