I picked thos old girl up from @timntrucks today.
Super clean radio, came with the backpack, 2 antennas, (the short "blade" one and the folding 10') and one that looks like the old spout of an old oil can spout (if you're old enough to remember those):

Here's what I did bud, I knew I had pics... 🤦♂️
The non reversible connectors so I didn't hook them up backward:
Mounted the box just outside of my battery box:
And I can deploy the solar panel when convenient and store when not in use to minimize risk of damage:
I didn't hard mount mine. I used non reversible connectors to make it to where I could disconnect the panel , mounted the box behind my seat (I have a 5 ton) and stow the charger while I'm driving and set it up wither on my roof or hood when parked to charge the batteries.
I just went down a rabbit hole reading about "Return of the Living Dead" and found out this neat tidbit:
The story's featured "2-4-5 Trioxin" chemical developed by the "Darrow Chemical Company" for the military was a play on the real-life Dow Chemical Company and its involvement in the 1960s...
Great movie! As a young lad of 12-13, that was my first experience of seeing the unclothed female anatomy in a movie theater with an adult present. (Yes that's the memory that sticks out!)
I also remember the sheer dread of watching the zombies just... keep... going.....
Good way to find out your vehicle belonged to a little boy named Timmy and escaped one day while the gate was left open and they've been looking for her!
