Mogman, how do you fix that clutch? I have one damaged and would lime to get it replaced for spare. I mean, if it is fixable instead of replacing the whole $500.00 part.

Electrical motors (unless variable speed motors) are usually designed to run at no more than 10% the voltage. So 12vDC to 24VDC is way more than 10%

My generator pulley clutch just crapped out. Was trying to find out how to replace just the clutch but ended up replacing the whole thing. What a pain.

Decided to replace the generator with my spare one. Will deal with the pulley clutch later on. What a pain to replace this one person and no engine lift or hoist.

Wellll, i found the culprit. The generator (alternator) clutch is spinning free both directions. Now not charching and probably was getting bad. Any good way or source parts to rebuild this section? I have another good generator but would prefer to fix this one mounted vs dealing with replacing...

is there any reason why the serpentine belt (MSN 3030-01-524-2460, RD-5-11792-0) is squeaking at less than 3k miles? when i installed this engine, i made sure to installa new belt at 22 miles, at around 2,500 miles i repalced the belt because of this symptom and now at around 4500 miles it is...
