FWIW...My 813 had 2" of fuel in the tank when I went up a steep hill and the pickup tube pulled in some air. 2" is about 10 gallons in my tank and you definitely need more than that to keep the pickup tube submerged.
If this problem escalates to a poo show I would suggest getting read up on the successful approaches tried in other states. there is a lot of good info, experienced peoples and legal precedent paperwork from other states in the 'Politics Related to MV Hobby'. Might be easier to look at what...
This is an alarming statement. I really hope that WA hasn't drank the same Kool-aid that the other dozen or so states have. It might be time for all of us to get organized...
A 6-hole version would be a little less but I can't say for sure how much less until I run a simulation through the laser software. I would want someone kinda local who has a 2.5 ton to be a Guinea pig if I make that version.
I need to reattach the wire connector inside my H-161 headset. The wire pulled out and I'm not sure how they reattach. It seems that they don't twist on and I don't see evidence of a crimp. Are they supposed to be soldered on?
Any ideas?
They won't be gold plated price-wise, but it does take a few pennies to power the 5,000 Watt laser across that length of cutting and there is a fair amount of metal there.
I'll be able to sell these for $90 (bare metal or with a zinc-phosphate acid etch layer) + shipping. I should have...
If you are excited about turbos on a 5-ton, you should read through this thread as it is one of the more comprehensive threads - at least for the M809 trucks...

Are these ear seals a standard size & shape? I've worn a pair of David Clark's with the gel seals while flying and they are very comfy. So does one size fit all if I look for the gel type?
Thanks for the info. I went to a craft store and found 2 types of foam; one that's 1/2" thick high density foam and the other is a soft fabric bonded to 1/8" thick foam. I made some templates that match the ear cup and also that wrap around the speakers.
I glued the thin foam to...
Originally were there 2 separate pieced of foam in the ear cups? 1 for the speaker and 1 that covers the whole area after that? It looks like the speaker relies on the foam to locate/support itself within the ear cup.
I'm in the same boat and I'm thinking of trying some bulk foam from an upholstery shop. That deteriorating foam is weird. If you pinch it and smear it turns into a tar-like substance which reminds me of a body seam sealer on an old car. I see pictures of good foam and they have a hole cut...
I want to see what others have done for mounting VIC-1 radios and other items on the back of the cab (soft top or hard top). I am working on a console for an AM-1780 and some control boxes and I would like to see which ideas work. I have a soft top which may have less head/shoulder room than a...
