Look at page 99 of the supplement.
Check continuity from pin D of the trans connector to pin k of the TCM harness connector.
Do the same thing from pin C and g NOTICE the underline on k and g of the schematic, that means they are talking about the lower case pins, there are more than 22 pins so...
The light will stay on if the TCM sees an issue with any of the solenoids, in your case it is the TCC solenoid.
Ignore the troubleshooting as it assumes you have a test harness. look at page 140 of the supplement if you don't have the supplement I will post it for you.
You will see 12V travels...
Glad you made it home OK, hope there was no permanent damage.
Instead of starting a new thread for every little item on your new truck you should start a thread about the restoration/build of your M1123
Something like "the trials and tribulations of my M1123"
If they are both GM R4 compressors then yes you can simply change the pulley, probably not hard to find the serpentine pulley ether from a scrap HMMWV compressor or it is likely the same pulley used in some civy applications, as long as you have the 24V coil you should be good to go.
Buy (or get...

It is there, but it could be a #29 with a different suffix, there are several #29s in that area and someone could have connected them differently, all the #29 wires should be switched 24V
You might want to inspect the connector at the trans for fluid in the connector.
But the internal (transmission) harnesses also fail as could the valve solenoid.
There are two plugs on the TCM box, use the other one, the harness must be connected.
Also by disconnecting that harness you have erased any stored codes.
