You came to the right place for advice & help. Good luck with your recovery & we will try to keep murphy busy elsewhere, rather than tailing your recovery trip!
Why sell them, you lose all bragging rights & future high end potential sales!
JK
Buying them & the ensuing recovery is fun, after that they are like puppies; you can't sell them to recover your $$$ & you don't want to give them away either. I would not want to miss the experience of owning...
I asked the local GL office about that & their rely was that they have to pay more money for the items now, so they pass that on to us buyers. My reply was that you only pay 3.75% of the original purchase price of the item & that got a lot of dirty looks headed in my direction!
Mine was I great shape till it vanished. Hearing that you also lost yours tells me that this is not a 1 off situation. I will just get some more brass screen from McMaster-Carr & replace it the next chance I get!
Welcome from Florida! Follow the postings from the above members & barring a visit from Murphy, you should be good to go. Your trip is going to be a long on for sure with lots of Diesel being burned, hope your credit card is in good shape!
Garrett, the screens are brass or bronze in material of construction, so rusting is out of the question; corrosion, not so much! I'll probably get more brass fine screen & replace it one day!
No, acetone wouldn't hurt it @ all. The screen was there a month ago, so I am wondering if I should have the fuel tested for something other than fuel in it? If it ate the screen, what will it do to the injector pump? Or am I overthinking the entire thing.....
This is an odd one here, the truck is a 1987 Air Force truck that when I got it, had the removable screen in the tank fill neck, totally gummed up with varnish. It would not allow any fuel to go thru it, so I soaked it in acetone & washed the varnish off with a water hose. Now it is all nice &...
I buy lots of stuff from McMaster-Carr both for myself & the company I work for. One day shipping is always the norm, unlike other vendors. Too bad they don't handle military truck supplies..........that would be a credit card breaker! After buying 4 covers still in the crates & having to...
Order your super rope from McMaster-Carr & you will be done with it. It comes in several different materials depending on how much you want to pay, but you should be able to do your entire cover for less than $50.00 including shipping!
Get one & install it in your truck, where ever you put it, cab or cargo shell, you will like it. They do the job as designed, just get it installed correctly for a power feed & you will be happy!
I just noticed this last week that the BP's went to 12.5% from 10% after several auctions I won cleared. This will slow down my desire to bid on a lot of stuff from now on!
No picture right now, but the way the directions that come with the racks show, two rifles rack bolt to the dash on the right side of the shifter & one bolts to the riders door in the front section of the door. Google the racks & you will find all the pictures you want!
I have the exact same trailer, but the generators are not mounted like yours are. Thanks for the better picture. Oh, you want to run the generator speed @ 60 Hz loaded or 61 Hz unloaded, not FULL throttle, but governed by frequency!
