I would hit if i have my if i had high steer set up ( which i will do when i put 52's up front) but with just the stock cross over i have no contact between my leaf spring and my xover steering.
well my friend won it at my 4x4 clubs raffle and he has 2 rigs with winches on them. so he calls me up tells me if i buy him some crazy camping stove worth 250$ he will give me the winch. i know it sells for around 500 but i got it for half price. smittybilt winches have been around for a few...
you could clean it the best you can and put some flat clear coat on it to keep it from getting dirty. or do like i do jsut paint over the cleaned dirty area with more paint :)
nothing is wrong with it. you posted a good idea just seems like people are worried about how much thread on the stud will be. and if they are worried about it do it the other way and not worry bout it,
