Not a bad looking truck, actually looks pretty good from my point of view. Plus you saved a fellow SS member some coin to his satisfaction & yours too! A ++ deal for both of you.
Post some more of what you have done with it as far as repairs & upgrades!
Lake pipes sound good, till they start...
I left my hood hooks off one afternoon & on the way to work the next morning; the hood started bouncing up. Getting stopped in time on a country road, saved the hood, so the hooks could be latched. The walkaround inspection pays off in lessing the damage in a opps moment!
I forgot, Welcome from Florida! Sorry!
When I went to get my tag title & insurance; it was a breeze. The only thing they all really wanted was deeper in my wallet, not the people doing the work, just the system. The DVM here in North Florida does a good job of helping you thru the system...
That is not rubber, it's Flubber! That is how he gets the tires to stick so well. The one that stumps me is how he gets the chains to hang up, must have flubber covers on them somewhere!
Very nice delivery by the way. Hopefully your sellers remorse will be out done by the buyers enjoying his...
More than you think of the Lady folks like the truck right off the get go. Even when I went to register it, the women behind the counters had to stop & go look @ it. The all agreeded that it was an ulitmate guy toy!
Great looking truck, now you get to spend quality time with her doing the PM's after reading up thru all the TMs. Let us know how the insurance & titling does in Arizona. My original title came from GL in Arizona!
Most everything on the Deuce is purpose built in for use or adaptation. To make my ugly bracket, pretty; I would add the M-66 gun ring to it & smile all the while. The guys @ work want to know, when I am going to war. I tell them to start worrying, when the gun ring shows up on the top of the...
Don't leave out those armadillos (or possum on the half shell) that dig a hole, while looking for grubs to eat, for you to break an ankle in. At work, they almost dig mantraps the holes are so big!
I'm too far North for you guys, but my M35A2C goes to work @ least once a week to let the guys there, know she stills runs well & turns heads. The ex mil guys understand, but the rest of them just wonder.
I have Melvins cousin up here & he loves to stay where ever he wants to on the truck. Running him off is not what I want to do as he eats any bug that comes near. The smaller trucks, that go faster, might loose him in the windstream, if I am not paying attention. Rain frogs are the best for...
I have always been taught that ether to a diesel is like crack to an addict! Once you use it, you will have to use it more often to get the engine started. I wanted to stay away & in doing so, found a good substitute!
That is true, but it was ether that was recommended & I have no ether. WD-40 uses CO2 as a propellant, so that was ruled out; silicone spray was something I keep around the shop for ammo can lids, so it was a what the heck decision. Also, the engine runs much better with clean fuel filters &...
Eureka! A mechanic @ work told me to spray a small amount of silicone spray into the intake, after removing the filter first. I balked @ first, till he gave me a 20 year history of working on diesels in Tampa for the city. After removing the air filter & housing, I sprayed a small amount of...
Auction pickups were done with the Toyota Tacoma & a trailer. 300 cans worth! All home safe with an exhausted driver/loader.
After checking everything listed by member mechanics & nothing worked; a mechanic @ work said to try silicone spray after removing the air filter. I balked & he said too...
I will work on these suggestions during the holiday weekend to see if these inspections remedy her ailments. One question though (yes, I read the TM), there is a spring & plunger in the primary fuel filter that connects internally to the manifold heater fuel supply. This spring fell out when I...
Yep, that is the famous Waldo area of Florida! Famous for being a major speed trap between city limit signs. The cops are not known for being, the best of the force, by any means; if they are, they leave quickly for better jobs. I have no qualms with LEO's 90% of the time, Waldo cops don't fit...
