Okay, rather than moving wires and maybe breaking something else, I made a jumper wire to go between the voltmeter gauge input and the terminal on the gauge bracket where the two black wires were attached. No smoke. The gauge worked and the truck started just fine. Only issue is that...
I think the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Based on the comments I have received above and JATONKA posting the -20-3 with wiring diagram fold outs (very quickly I might add. great work), I have concluded that I need to move the two black wires from the dash voltmeter gauge bracket...
First of all, my apology to rlwm211. Based on advise from the webmaster of site he referenced, Section 5 of the manual does have some pretty good sections of the schematic. However, the manual they have posted does not have the fold out schematics at the end of he manual. (The website is...
I have been to that site, and yes, it does list a -20 manual with "includes wiring diagram" in the title. However, it does not include the wiring diagrams. By wiring diagrams, I would need the fold outs that are usually at the end of the manual, not the very simplistic diagrams they show in...
Got my 920 a couple of weeks ago. Working through problems one by one. I am now trying to determine why batteries (new) aren't charging. I started out by looking at the voltmeter gauge (on dash). I have attached a picture of the wiring as well as a partial diagram of the wiring to the...
I have the same situation for my M920 (looks like there are three of us looking for wiring diagrams):-(. If anyone comes up with something, please PM us.
Jim
Well I finally got around to pulling out the pressure regulator and up/down control valve for the pusher axle control. I carefully marked the hoses and fittings so I could get them back together the same way. Everything looked good in the control valve and there was a little junk in the...
As far as me doing the work, you are right. I am going to have someone else do it. All it took was for me to see the shims in the parts diagram. Besides, I don't even have what it takes to pull the rear axle. I'll have to get someone else to do that to.
The real problem I am having with the air coming out of the pusher axle control valve is that I can't figure out how it works from the control standpoint. I lookrd at how it is wired (hosed) up and it makes no sense to me (I get confuse with simple things). Everything is hooked up like the -20...
I found the pinion gear and ring gear. Alan, of Houston Drive Train 713-675-6375 was able to find two pinion and ring gear sets, of which I got one. Tell him you need 6.17:1 gears for a Rockwell/ SUHD rear end.
I guess it helps in doing searches if you spell what you are looking for correctly. The air "dryer" manual helps point me in directions other than a leaking saftey valve. (Great reference. Glad he posted it) However, if anyone has a part number on the saftey valve, it looks like that would be...
Got my M920 last week. One of the first issues I need to resolve are the air leaks. I have two left unresolved. The first is the Saftey relief valve on the air drier. Anyone know a replacement part. The second issue is that I continually have air coming out of the lift/lower control valve...
I am not sure what you mean by "seeing if it is the center section". Keep in mind, this truck rolled good both forwards and backwards until the rear tires started going on to the trailer. Then there was a distinct pop. The break is a fresh brake (shiny metal across entire shaft), no signs of...
He guys can you dumb down a little for me. You guys are way beyond me with trying to improve the mileage, speed etc. I am just trying to see what it would take (if parts are available), to fix my M920. The problem I have is that when I went to pick it up, the fluids had been drained in engine...
I know this is not an M35 topic, but this thread is only thing I could find where someone might be able to help me out. I just picked up an M920, with the transmission fluid drained. So I was looking to find some transmission fluid to put in it. LO calls for 10W MIL-L-2104C. SHELL RIMULA...
Just got my M920 to the house (From Saginaw, TX). When I got there to pick it up, found that Transmission fluid had been drained. Supposedly had a leak, and for EPA concerns, they drain fluids from any vehicles with leaks. Any recommendations on what type of transmission fluid to use in...
You are right, the NSN is 2940-00-463-1362, not what I originally posted.
Seco Miltary Parts web site inventory seach today shows they have three in stock. I sent them an RFQ. Depending on price, I may still go with gutting current one and putting in NAPA filter.
Also, looks like MEP005 and...
