My thoughts exactly, I confirmed the function with Tornadogt when he moved his at Hood this week. It's odd but it works!

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

https://youtu.be/NPQgNjraNrI A short run from the tire place back to my yard, I left my chase car in the dust from that stop. She screams all the way and it's music to my ears. I'll have better footage once my replacement GoPro battery arrives.

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

From what I learned is that there is to be no civilian access to the saginaw facility. Any trucks they sell have to be relocated to a 3rd party for storage (tow company/heavy haul) which is at one of their remote unmanned yards. I attempted to get access to my HEMTT while the EUC was pending to...

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

Got the driver door installed, new batteries, o-rings, and fuel. Overall not too costly (so far). I'm still looking for the cab foot steps and the proper driver side mirror arm, I think I was sent one for a PLS or LVS as it's not the same as the passenger side and keeps sliding. Overall I'm very...

    1,680 mile HEMTT recovery

She looks great! Have you noticed any rebuild tags on major components? Mine was RRAD overhauled in 04 and they rebuilt all the axles as noted by the tags. Also how touchy are your brakes and how's the acceleration? Just making comparisons!

    My M101A1 purchase

Since it's under 4500 lbs governed weight it can be registered in Texas with just a bill of sale...and it being previously registered. If the farmer never had tags for it you will have trouble. I have 14 M101A1/2/3s right now and just went through these hoops. It's best if the previous owner...

5 Ton Alternator pulley shaft sheared.

I have my alternators rebuilt here in town for about $100/w labor. I too have had this issue where a pulley stripped out and nearly left me overheated on the side of the road. I highly recommend these guys. BCS Starter & Alternator Service 23rd St Bryan, TX 77803 979-775-9470

Cleaned up the last Kansas Overhauled truck I have in stock. "The Kansas City Sisters" has a nice ring to it don't you think?

Unloaded her, ordered a lot of parts. I haven't fired her up since she got delivered as I'm waiting on the right fluids too.

    TornadoGT's M977 "Name TBD" Mods

Ditto, they share the same fuel cap as the M939 series trucks so you can pressurize the system.

    M923 AM General 2004 - Buying question

Hi aztron, The M923 is my truck and I'm confident in the vehicle's condition. I picked this one and a few "sister" trucks up from Kansas Overhaul Facility at Ft Riley, Kansas. They were still in the factory yard and one even I broke the paint seal when turning the door handle, talk about...

    Issues with SF-97

Mine cleared late last week and I had a shipper get it to me yesterday. I figured 97 days was long enough, no sense waiting 2 weeks for getting it moved. I'll be avoiding EUC items until the wait time is <30 days or the system is changed to put a holding deposit on the item until it clears...

M923 Prime Loss - Air Bubble

I did this as well when I replaced the line, someone stripped out the 90 degree elbow so all that was replaced.

M923 Prime Loss - Air Bubble

I've got an atypical issue I've not had before and looking for input. I've got a m923 that keeps getting a small air bubble in the line near the lift pump when the truck is off. It doesn't drain down to the filter, it just forms a bubble enough to stall the engine from a start. I've swapped all...

Look in the TM or on the data plate, it's all there. If she's just for fun go the FMV route. $55/5 years + antique insurance. Cheap cheap. If you want a guide to register it as a FMV PM me and I can send my guide to you. NO CDL required due to no air brakes and and under 26K lbs.
