Well since it is now taboo to tell them to read the manuals , this looks like a expensive lesson in not doing so . If the motor took off spraying either it's a good bet they sprayed the either wide open just like the motor did.

You need to replace the seals. The whole axle needs servicing (if you haven't done they other yet they should be serviced also). Search 5 ton axle seal kits , many vendors have everthing you need in a package deal. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=m923a2+axle+seal+kit

If it is the hydraulic supply hose for the dump he don't want to put diesel in that . Edit; It looks like he is looking for part #14 for the dump hydraulics.

Nylon locknuts do handle heat very well , those have a slight deform at the top to lock them . There are several types of locknuts. Read the description in this link ...
