To be honest, I have never looked into the specs on either the primary or secondary filters on these trucks. If what you say is true and the secondary filter on the side of the block on my 8.3 is only 10 micron ( and I run a Baldwin) then I'm going to start hunting for a better filter for it.

10 micron is NOT enough. Five or less is preferable. Ten is only good for a primary filter.

I'll fix it tomorrow. Just a big fitting on one of the cylinders backed out, so i have to take the line off and tighten it back up and reinstall the line. I honestly think when the army replaced the lines just before I got it they left it loose because it has leaked like that since I got it...

Stop shutting it down until you are done with it for the day. Not being mean, that is just the best way to run one of these trucks. No reason to shut down a diesel for a fuel stop anyway. I leave mine running when I go in and shop at Walmart, when I go in to eat at restaurants, really anything...

If I'm not mistaken, the deuce pump module will drop into your fuel tank, then just run the wire to it. Anyway, good idea with the tire lift. Your mount pics didn't work though....

You should be able to handle the tires fine. You've seen me, and I handle 14.00r20s for the five tons just fine. Oh, and I may have a pump for you.

Another option is to just buy some of the correct wire and plug components, learn to solder, and replace the rotted sections yourself.

I use only Rectorseal pipe thread sealant. Teflon tape is a pain.
