South Florida to Louisiana to recover CUCV-II at Jeepsinker's place.

I would like to know how those front tires wore as bad as they did in 11,000 miles. I don't think they came off of something else because all the rims match.

    What goes here?

That hole allows excess grease to exit the slip joint when it compresses. I've never seen one capped with anything and I wouldn't put anything in there.

Glad you made it home safe. I will PM you some contact info for the other guy once I talk to him about it.

Do you have a line wrench that will fit?

    Wrecker Identification Help needed

I'm going to go ahead and definitely say no, the manuals are not in there, nor were they ever. The wasp nest is most likely under the dash or in the upper corner in the back of the cab. That's where they like to nest for some reason. There are no other holes in the glovebox unless someone...

    Wrecker Identification Help needed

If you climb up onto the wrecker bed and stand between the cab and the crane, you are standing on the toolboxes. The deck is the lids of them. To open them, grab the edge toward the crane and lift up toward the cab. They may be rusted shut though. The pulleys are likely factory equipment...

Pulsetech solar panel install location on Deuce

Yeah no way I would ever give $300, or for that matter even $200.

I'm guessing you want to get him to bring your tires that way huh?

M50A1 Ontos, good buy? Any way to convert to 4bt or 6bt cummins diesel?

They can't be any older than halftrack tracks though? Just be easy on them. I may be interested in one of the other hulls if the price is right.

Brake fluid in the wrong place

Oh it isn't because I'm special or anything, it just goes by the post count. I'm on here a LOT.

Transporting M1070 from Reno, NV to Eastern MT.

That truck driver needs his a** kicked.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Let us know. When I fixed mine a couple weeks ago I dumped in two quarts of Lucas oil stabilizer and filled the rest with 80w90 GL5 and it is a whole lot quieter and easier to shift.

Air Connection(s) on Crank Case Vent Tube?

Yes you can plug it. I'm going to plumb mine back into the fuel tank vent. Just makes sense as Iv'e already had the axle vent on the vent line fail and pull a massive vacuum on the fuel tank, to the point that it was choking my engine down and I had to stop and disconnect the vent line from the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I didn't say it wont work. I said it won't retain it's lubricity as long as gear oil, which is what I call 80w90 Gl5. 80w90 has a lot more of an additive package in it to help keep the lubricity up under shear loads and heat. And even if 30wt is just base oil, it is a much lighter than the GL1...

Pulsetech solar panel install location on Deuce

I would much rather drill holes in a hardtop than in the cowl. The top is much easier to replace or repair.
