Go to wallyworld and get the 3 year warranted batteries. I've had one in every daily driver and they die just short of the warranty expiration so the replacement is free. Going on 9 years since paying for a new battery.
Check for kinks in the fuel line. I helped a guy get his on the road for a recovery but the truck wouldn't do anything more than idle until we found the kink.

Glad the trip went well. What was your average speed? How long was the trip? Etc. I did a trip exactly like this a year ago and each pull deuce ran hot the entire way. Averaged 37mph for the 330+/- trip through the hills of East Texas.
I got another one today. Time for replacing bulbs and breaking out the dust pan. Does anyone have the dimensions for the troop seats on this bed style? I'm going to have to make mine (I already have the hardware).
