Diesel in the tank is safe. Us a tranny jack or floor jack with 2x2 piece of 3/4 plywood to support the tank as you unbolt and lower. I am sure there is someone around you with a multifuel that would take the liquid off your hands. Some of the older M101 have the same tank as an M37.
No one is answering Freight Dog's Question. I don't have an A3 but on the M35A2 and M818 they are on the cab side of the fire wall. They don't look anything like a civi circuit breaker. here's the pic's. They look more like a union for 2 wires, 1 is 15 amp, 2 is a 20.
