There's a small plug just above the oil cooler lines, I'll try that for oil temp. The other intake port cover will get d&t'd for the coolant temp. Oil pressure will be a "T" at the current sending unit. Just leaves transmission temp.
Thanks guys.
I have the gauges, all mechanical "mini" gauges I bought when on sale. I was wondering if there were places to locate the sensors without using a "T".
Going to add, (I hope), a water temp, an oil temp, a transmission temp, and an oil pressure gauge. Any idea's where I can plumb in the sensors and keep the dummy lights?
Buy 3 filters online, "cheaper" that way. Use one right away to fix it. Next add 2 stroke oil with you next full tank. Run that. Change the filter again. Keep the third behind the seat.
I had to replace the bolt in my heater. Sounds as if yours was like mine, undersize for the threads it was mated in. If the threads in the "spreader" are alright, I found an allen head bolt that was a better fit and worked fine. Read my post in the "what have you done to your cucv" topic...
Doghead,
That was the blazer. I replaced a bad link and a main power feed, as I recall. I've used the same on this truck for the main feeds. I'd like to find all the fuseable links and do something with them.
Can we have a "pay it forward" stcky for the CUCV's?
It is where free stuff is offered, if you take something, you put something up of use to a cucv owner. You can list before you take something as well.
Also a "I will trade my ____ for_____" sticky would be nice, though not as likely to happen.
Take a large screw driver and tap on the injector pump housing. There is valve sticking. Been there. Run a good fuel additive for awhile to clean things out, something like 2 stroke oil. Worked for me.
I had to go back and read it, but no. That was the M1009. This is the M1008 I am now driving. None of those issues this time, thank goodness. I've found a supposedly good, already pulled engine, just need to come up with the $$$ and hope the truck will get me there when the time comes. I'd...
Well, it's official. Coolant rises when it's running and flows out, heat goes hot and cold. ****, looks like heads at least, or just as simple to swap in an engine. Transmission seems alright. Engine starts and runs good. Exhaust is clear once warm. Hate to do it, but gonna dump in some...
