    My 1008 and its problems

I think you'd be time and money ahead to buy a new wire harness and fuse box. Members here likely have good used out and on hand.

    A fuseable link photo map?

I've got and saved those, though not in color, so that helps. A, looking for engine bay photo's with arrows and replacement specs. I'd like to put in either slow burn fuses or circuit breakers.

    A fuseable link photo map?

I'm sure I'll get lambasted for daring to ask... Can we get a photo "map" showing the locations, what it protects and ratings of the fuseable links in the engine bay?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Honestly, just two harbor freight black rubber utility lights. Super bright and look good too. They are powered from the same relay as the hi beams. Install two relays, inside the cab is better. Use the existing hi - low beam wires from the dimmer switch to control the relays. Use a hot...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

    cucv parts in northern ny

I overheated my 6.2 and at the least fear I need heads. Hoping the trans is ok as it was a cold day.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Took the freeze plug heater out and swapped the crappy, undersize bolt out for a allen head cap screw that fit right. Re-installed it and have fingers crossed.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Kats freeze plug heater let loose again. Really heated the engine this time as the thing dumped the fluid under the truck and I didn't know. Hoping, but don't know yet, that everything survived. Sweating about cracked heads, cooked transmission, ruined water pump. Ran ok in the yard.

    LMC 190 T-stat ok?

Checked, checked, and double checked. Then tried it the other way.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Put in a freeze plug heater. Tightened to spec and went to work. I put it back in this am, at work. Tightened it in and the bolt stripped. Drove it home with water in it and it held. Drained and filled with coolant, seems ok. Replaced the t-stat, still sucky heat. Have had the core out...

    LMC 190 T-stat ok?

I just put an LMC 190 degree thermostat in, and am still getting cool air and heater hoses. Are the LMC thermostats the right one?

    plumbing in some heat

I'll be putting in a freeze plug heater, done it before, and an oil pan magnetic heater, also no big deal. What I am wondering about is also putting in a circulating heater. Other than putting a tap into the lower radiator hose, is their another point I can use for the lower hose?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

New front axle u-joints. Had to buy 2 special tools to get to them. and cut the old ones out on a cut off saw with the trigger clamped, fun. Rewired the batt. cables with the new batt. terminals.

    Fuel System Problems

Try a process of elimination. Find a small boat type fuel tank made of red plastic usually. Fill with diesel and connect it directly to the fuel pump. Does it work now? If not, test the fuel pump with a standard fuel pump tester, actually a vacuum / pressure tester available about everywhere...

    Bubba’s Dump………..

Read through your post. I've owned two cucv's now. Both need to be revved to get the gen light to go out. The volt gauge will drop while your glow plugs cycle, then will climb for a moment while the batts get re-charged. A belt squeel while the plugs cycle is common as well. If you do...
