Ok, so now I've verified via PM that the pump is a drop in fit, but I also need the A3 tank straps. So a tank and straps and I'm good to go for a permanent rust free tank.
Ok then, that is what I'm looking for. It looked like the plate on top of the aluminum tank was the same as the fuel pump bracket that goes in the A2 tank, so I'm thinking it may just drop in. If it needs some modification that's no problem, it would still be less work than starting from a 5 ton...

I've been daily driving mine for quite a while now voluntarily. I can count the number of times I have taken my fiancées car instead of the deuce on one hand, and the only reason for that was to get somewhere in a hurry.
