How did you get it titled as a station wagon ?
It should either have a GVW plate or historic plate since it weighs over 10,000 pounds . The MPSC out of the Tri-City post will confiscate a improper plate and impound the truck until you get the correct plates . They got my brother with a 1 ton...
Your post is a little confusing are you planing on hanging it from the floor of the van body ?
If so it probably won't handle it. If you build a cradle that supports it from underneath and attaches to the truck frame you should be fine.
A good first step is diagnosis of the problem before spending money on parts it may or may not need. Also download and save the TM's to your computer , here is a link to them .

Welcome to SS , I'm guesing your looking at a M923 or M925 they are part of the M939 series truck . Here is a link to the operators manual for that series truck , it will help you with the different models and give some knowledge of them when you go shopping .

The Np203 and NP205 had basicly the same gear ratios in these years.
NP203 high 1.00:1 low 2.01:1
Weight: ~ 200 lbs.
NP205 high 1.00:1 low 1.96:1
Weight: 130 - 140 lbs dry.
