Show Signs are Poppin' Up
Here are 2 of about 5 that are out now and another 2 are due to be put out by this time next week in NNJ. M816's 5 Ton at the Chatterbox near the fairgrounds and coming up on my M105 going north on the other side on Route 23.
Hope the other guys post theirs, too.

The M35s are usually lined up along the [roughly] north end of the field. Several people stay in theirs. I've seen BBQ grills, MKT and the like but don't recall seeing a wood fire. Mighta missed it. There's also a concession stand that serves meals, as well as other camping areas on the fair...
Thanks. Do you think it might be this book?

I'm wondering if anyone has further information on this. There's one at the USS Ling Museum in Hackensack that needs some fix up, but I'm having a lot of difficulty finding anything on the equipment, the manufacturer, etc. There's a different model at the USS Cod in Ohio, very nicely done. The...
I was reading through old threads on this for a friend's question and realized that this article isn't quickly available, so after much hunting, now it is:
PS Mag Issue 460 "Lug Nut Loosening"
Your description sounds sorta like my friend's M37-turned-fire truck where they tapped off the 2 batteries individually for independent 12v stuff. You might consider that.

Another thought: This page has 3 divisions of shows, auctions, etc. Might be worth checking as you make your trip in case you're nearby one of the events on a given day.

If you can't make our show at Sussex end of April, please feel free to contact me by PM or email when you expect to be in the NJ/NYC metro area. I'll pass the word you're coming through and try to hook you up. MTA is a good sized club with a lot of good guys. While I'm drawing a blank at the...
BBBM - Basic Boring Battery Maintenance. In the process of taking every terminal clamp completely apart, wire brushing clamp, cable, and misc connectors until shiny, putting a slow full charge on both, then reassembling with some dielectric grease to make this less of a chore next time. The...
I think you'll be very happy with it and it's certainly worth the price assuming everything works. I ramped my snow blower onto mine a bunch of times in the last couple of weeks. It'll carry your ATV easily but getting the wheels between the fenders will depend on the ATV's width. Measure...
If it helps, and your primary hours on the truck will be on a farm, the M35a2 is the hands down favorite in the onion farms around Pine Island. They're light enough that they float on the soft black dirt. They'll crawl in low range alongside the onion harvesters. Often, their beds are removed...
Here's a suggestion: Keep your money in your pocket for a couple more weeks. Go to Rausch Creek on 3/28th - 30th. I suspect that's the fun you had in mind. Talk to guys with all kinds of rigs to make up your mind. Ride a bit and make some friends...
No reason to be spooked but go in to it with your eyes open. If your plan is beating the be-whats-its out of it off roading and mudding, you probably should like wrenching heavy stuff, buying replacements, and doing lots of drive line PM.
So, what little fun were you looking to have?
