I am trying to deiced what color I should paint my M1009 when I get it from govliq. (On day 75 since it was sent to BC)
I am still torn between the 3 color camo, the green, or the tan.
I am heavily leaning towards a desert storm paint job like the one pictured below (I think that one belongs...
Could they have been trying to commit some type of fraud? I have heard of people doing this to commercial van drivers. They pull in front of them and then slam on the brakes. When you hit them they sue you for injuries.
Perhaps when the driver saw your van flip it spooked them off....
BTW...
Since it came out of a GSA could another government agency had it other then the military such as a fire department?
Or some one swapped it out on one the lots thinking no one would notice...lol
Lol I think so...looks like some one could have put an injection pump from a ford 6.9 on it. Maybe thats why it is having problems.
Looks to be a Stanadyne DB2829-4541 injection pump for a ford 6.9
I think as of 2 weeks ago they had a policy change in regards to the 60 day time frame...
Keep the processing times coming guys...
Trying to map out times based on item, location, and time frame. I have seen it done on another site for another approval process.
I am going to see if I can't get a chart together to map the length of time these things are now taking.
If you have had your first EUC approved some time this year can you post the following info below:
Date Auction Won:
Date EUC Sent to Gov Liq:
Date EUC Sent to Battle Creek:
Date Approved...
My M38a1 also had a death wobble...I replaced every thing...steering box, tie rods, ball joints, drag links, etc. Could not get it to go away...
Turns out my tires were out of balance...took them to a tire shop had them balanced and the problem went away.
O yea...if you guys want an example of how crappy a spliced fuel line is take a soda straw and cut a small line length wise into the straw and try drinking with it...it works but it "sucks"...lol
As I mentioned on page 5 of this thread that was exactly what was causing my M38a1 to do what your truck is doing. It is really difficult some times to find a fuel line with a splice in it. I hope that was the issue so you can get it on the road.
:driver:
You could call a congress person and get them involved (this seems to be the only way to really get **** done over there)...give them a story about how your father got called away for the emergency cleanup.
While I am waiting for my EUC to clear for my M1009 I am wondering what tools I need to work on it.
I already have the usual set of metric and standard wrench, sockets, and air tools.
What special tools will I need? Glow plug wrench?
I am also doing a banks turbo install so if you guys can...
What exactly is it that they do with your EUC submission when it arrives at Battlecreek?
Do they check the information against of bunch of database information?
If so why would EUC wait times be getting longer?
I find it hard to believe that more us buying trucks are the cause, we a...
OMG...it sounds like one of those late night call girl commercials with the music and voice over....lol
Where exactly are the gun mounts the guy mentions?
