    The bug tin can by the MC should click on and stay on for 10 secs or so when your engine is cold and you turn on the key.. that is your glow plug relay.. it is the new style... it should not rapid click..so either your card or your heat sensor switch... on the back of the intake manifold is...

    To verify it yourself... put it in OD and turn the front shaft 5 turns while counting the revs of the output shaft, then divide by 5 to minimize chance of error and output over input will give you the OD.

    You have to look at em and you need to be making a decision as to whether you want a pickup or a Blazer...engines and trannys are the same... one is a one ton and the other is a halfton in GMs lingo..they are all maintenance intensive.
