When factory trucks are equipped with van bodies, they use the same system of a 1" thick wooden runner on both sides of the frame and the same bolting pattern as a cargo bed. At least that is what I've found on trucks like the deuce M109 and the expansible vans on 5-tons.

I haven't seen them, but more than likely they are actually NOS 5kW genset engines. Same basic motor, but the fittings are different so you have to swap old parts to use it in a mule.

I'm thinking those gensets aren't quite stable enough, frequency-wise, to use a digital meter for that function without making one crazy trying to read it. It would flicker all over the place and drive me crazy. There is something to be said for analog instruments and humans.

The boot over the male pin can be changed by removing the "C" washer by pulling the male pin thru, and then pulling the wire back out. Slide the new boot on, reinstall the washer, and pull back. A tiny drop of brake fluid will make things fit easier.

I'd get that new flexplate Magnafluxed before installation from the looks of the old one. Cheap insurance!
