Oh, do we need to bring fire wood or not? And any idea when the buy/sell/swap thread may come about? Also, are firearms permitted? If so, is there a place to shoot safely? Perhaps a post with rules and procedures for your particular event is in order for those of us who have not attended before.
What you are looking for is oil based industrial enamel mixed to the F.S paint code for olive drab. Should be listed in the very first post of the first sticky in this section.
Dude... You just need to get a horse. Forget the buggy, you'd probably loose a wheel bearing. Of course with your luck the horse would get a kidney stone or something crazy.
Roger that, bear in mind that the only experience I have changing super singles is with the 14.00 tires on 5 tons. I still don't like losing the ability to get to a safe area before having to stop for he tire change, but that is my preference. Ymmv
I think that should work just fine, but I wouldn't cut any deeper than the wear indicators stand out. Don't want to compromise the integrity of the tire.
I will be there. I believe m109a2 will be as well. Anything special you are looking for that I could bring to the rally? Keep an eye out as the rally swap/sell/ thread should start up soon.
Oh no I couldn't do that. NDT had first dibs on them and he probably has better means of getting them. Besides, you have what he needs to complete his set, I don't have any and would be missing two. Appreciate it, but let NDT have first pick please.
Keep in mind that if you do go super singles and you ever get a flat, you will be changing a very heavy tire right there on the spot. Not so with duals. I know that isn't the subject here, but been there, done that. Keeping my duals.
The tie you have pictured is the tire I was talking about. The siping is very small from the factory. I would say go for it, but I wouldn't cut that much out either. You won't be able to use balance media with the tubes though.
You should see my place!
Hey new feller, if you need any help around Fort Polk let me know. And if you get over my way give me a shout, I can share my toys for a day.
