Roger that, bear in mind that the only experience I have changing super singles is with the 14.00 tires on 5 tons. I still don't like losing the ability to get to a safe area before having to stop for he tire change, but that is my preference. Ymmv

I think that should work just fine, but I wouldn't cut any deeper than the wear indicators stand out. Don't want to compromise the integrity of the tire.

Oh no I couldn't do that. NDT had first dibs on them and he probably has better means of getting them. Besides, you have what he needs to complete his set, I don't have any and would be missing two. Appreciate it, but let NDT have first pick please.

Keep in mind that if you do go super singles and you ever get a flat, you will be changing a very heavy tire right there on the spot. Not so with duals. I know that isn't the subject here, but been there, done that. Keeping my duals.

That's what I would do. It will make for a good practice run, then if it works out you can get a set of 11.00 NDT and do it up right.

The tie you have pictured is the tire I was talking about. The siping is very small from the factory. I would say go for it, but I wouldn't cut that much out either. You won't be able to use balance media with the tubes though.

I wish I could find some for my truck. At a reasonable rate anyway. I would pay $150-$200 each if they are all true and not rusted too badly.

The Mohawk brand 11.00 NDT tires were siped from the factory. They are hard to find though.

Makes sense that it would be there to keep oil out of the air system.
