Either way the proper gauges are a whole lot less money and work than a new motor.

If it is leaking around the bottle it still won't start correctly . You won't find how well the system really works untill the gasket is replaced.

Yeah you can remove it they work just like a propane bottle .

They were made from 1994 to 1999 , so I would guess putting 1990 would just create more problems for you. And the last M35A2's were made in 1989 .

Spray form holds moisture and will create rust problems fairly quick.

On the gas motors the short rods go from the motor mount to the inspection cover for the torque converter. There is a tab on the part of the motor mount that bolts to the motor .
