And just when I thought this thread had gone dormant . . . I'm glad it's proving useful.
Best of luck with your new truck. Turns out that the MTA calendar shows a parade in Randolph on 6/30 with a number of members attending. You might want to go to the staging area, introduce yourself, and...

I'm wondering if anybody had the presence of mind to snap a shot of Aces and Eights and BoonieRat side-by-side and if they'll post it. I sure didn't:doh:
There seemed to be a really broad range of nicely done vehicles of all vintages and the location was really nice.
Oh, and the pulled pork...
There are 2 I know of for private sale in Sussex County only a couple of miles from where the MTA show was held. Not rock-bottom auction prices but not pigs-in-a-poke either. Neither advertised except by word of mouth; I have no doubt that they'd both make it down to your place on their own...
Need Multifuel Radiator or Tires?
If anyone is interested in a new in box M35 Multifuel radiator or a set of (11) matched 9.00 x 20 NDTs, I can bring them up. Pls PM me or email.

M105, Deuce & CCKW are carrying vehicles.
Load: A mule is fine. Attached is a frame from a video of the mule parked in the middle. Elsewhere on the clip is the driver jumping up and down on the ramp beside it. We think we could do a Jeep with a single reinforcement pylon in the middle of...
KISS ramps
10" x 13' Spruce OSHA scaffold planks. A tad spring-ey but very sturdy. These were taken w/ the M105 but they were built for and we use them on the Deuce and a CCKW. Also shortened them to 11' 6" so they didn't hang out over the tailgate. Too much hassle to load and close the...
We travel w/ 4 dogs. The show flyer says no pets. I'm assuming that means cruising the show.
They're crated in the van, but need nature breaks. I looked at the Google Earth photos and there seems to be space around the edges. Who would I contact to find out if we can make this work...
I'm not an expert on spraying, but here's how I would resolve the reducer question.
I'd mix the reducer and paint in the proportion I'd expect to use it - say 4:1 or 3: 1. I'd test it with a brush or roller on an area somewhere like the inside of the bed to make sure that the reducer and paint...
I had to find a can without the formula splotched. That's it. I've used regular paint thinner with P24; if you want to try another, test it first, please. The label actually says not to thin but the label doesn't have spraying directions.
BM is $50 or so a gallon; Maybe a few dollars more...
"... I tried to look for more folks that might be from this site but after the 3rd time of asking if any one was from the SS forum and getting sideways glances, I have to admit I quit asking..."
Oh, never do that! I had the same experience at Gilbert last fall but continued to embarass...
When I bought my truck it had been done w/ Aervoe 383 about 2 years earlier and looked terrible - Sorta tan, not pink, and you could powerwash that tint off. See photo attached. The cab/hood difference is accurate, not a shadow.
Last weekend I saw another done w/ Aervoe 24087, painted some...
"....the inner doors and fenders are getting spayed with red oxide primer and under the cab the best I can do with spay can and brush..."
I don't know if I'm just reading your post wrong, but it seems that you intend to prime and move on. That's a mistake.
Primer's purpose is to bond and...

That post reminded me that I owe the thread an update. The high temps were on the hub, not the brake.
In the week before the MTA Sussex show, we tore it down again, and checked bearings for lube but most importantly retightened the spindle nut to 50 lbs/back off 1/2 turn.
On the 45 mi trip up...
